Pop Corn

Pop..pop...pop.. pop.. Popcorn, one of the favorite snacks in theaters. I for one like pop corn, how about you?

We bought a bag of Trail End classic caramel coated pop corn from our neighbor's grandson a few  weeks back.  It was extra crunchy and delicious.  My son likes pop corn when it has a touch of cheese but I like it  with caramel or even just plain.

Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to take in everything that Florida has to offer. 

You Blue It!

The kids had an exchange gift at their  respective classes during  their Christmas parties.  Ms. Burrito's Secret Pal gave her this nickelodeon's Gak.  When you open the lid, it has sticky clay-like  inside.  My daughter only  played with this once and I got rid of it because it is very messy.  She  drop some at our carpet and I had a hard time cleaning it as she did not tell me about it right away.  Her blouse also got stained so I wasn't very happy

The saying "You BLUE it!" fits perfectly it's description because you will BLUE the fun of having it.

I don't recommend this for kids.

Paper Roses

 My daughter has fully recovered from the bug that she caught early this week.  She was absent for three days in school.  She tried to go to school yesterday but called me back after thirty minutes  telling me to get her.  I told her  that she need to rest another day yesterday but she really wants to go so I let her.  She's  the total opposite of my little boy, the latter does not want to go but she wants to even if she's sick.  But anyhow, she is  back to school now.  Thanks for the well wishes!

Professional Rug Cleaner

Having a carpeted home is  nice especially if you have kids as it protects their  knees and body when they fall while playing or running around.  The key to having a healthy and clean carpet is to   steam clean t it every once in a while.  When we bought our house, we  removed the old existing carpet  and replaced it with a brand new one.    We also bought a steam vac to clean it ourselves as we can't afford to  hire a professional rug cleaner.  Now that we have two children and two dogs, we   make sure to clean our carpet every so often because if  we don't, it would be filthy.  One of our dogs sheds so I vacuum it  once or twice a week and hubby takes care of the steaming.

Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders Photo Opp

My husband and daughter had the chance to see and meet the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders when we were still  living in South Korea.  They came to the Navy Fleet  to give some cheers to the  service men and women and their families who were currently stationed in the  Land of the morning Calm.  I was not able to see their performance because my son was taking a  a nap that time but glad that my daughter had the chance to meet them.  When my daughter  came home, she sowed me some moves   according to the performace of the ladies that she saw.  It added  a magical memory for my daughter.  She had  a great time  posing for pictures with them. I was browsing  some clothes online and found some Dallas Cowboys Baby Clothes at Baby Fans.  I think that any baby girl would look  beautiful with  the  outfit that  you see.  Too bad, the biggest size that they have is 3T which is not my daughter's size anymore.  It could have been a good keepsakes that my daughter could look back when she sees her pictures with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders..

Mary Poppins

Are you planning to have a getaway anytime soon?  Would you consider going to New York and  watch one of the Broadway shows?  You can find broadway show packages at NYC Trip website.  It's never  early to plan for a getaway for summer or  for Spring vacation.  I have never experience watching a broadway show but it would be   fun to do that someday.  It would be  awesome to see the Mary Poppins  in an actual show, I  only saw it  on TV when I was in my early teens.  I looked up their  pricing and it cost $306.50 per person which isn't bad because it comes with a 2 night complete package.  The package includes  a two-night stay in Time Square or Rockefeller Center, these are the hotels in the heart of midtown Manhattan famed Broadway Theater District.  All state and local  taxes are also included in the price.  

Mary Poppins brought back memories  when we  visited  Disney World   a couple of years ago.  We  explored the Spectacular Journey into the Movies attraction where you go for a ride and the  tour guide will tell you different  kinds of movies as   the journey move along.     One of the display is about the Mary Poppins show and it brought back  fun memories when I first watch the movie.

Rainy Days

Hello there, how's the weather at your side of world? It's raining here now which makes it more colder outside. It says on the weather channel that it would pour hard around 2 pm which is bad because I have to pick up my Burritos in school. I will definitely need our umbrellas.

I took the shots below when I walked my  kids to school one fine  but cold morning sometime last month.  The sun was actually brighter than the ones showing in the photo but that's the best my point and shoot camera could capture.

Reward System

I did a reward system for my Burritos last year and it certainly went well. Every good deed and sweet gesture were rewarded. Some would say that this is isn't effective because it is like a form of bribe but for me it is not.  It's my way of teaching my kids that in every action you make in life, there is always consequences to it, either good or bad.  

This year, we start anew.  For every sticker that they receive, they get 10 cents for each.  It isn't much   but if they are zealous enough in helping around the house and continue to do good in school , they will accumulate a lot.  I gave them the choice to  spend their earnings  last month but they chose to  put it in their savings, their "Adult Money" as Ms. Burrito refers to.  This is a fun reward system  for my kids, you might want to try it too.

Dishwasher Parts

I used to   wash our dishes manually and only uses it   when we have an occasion where I have to use so many dishes.    I decided to give my hands a break and  finally use our  dishwasher regularly.    I think I am finally getting the worth of the money that I paid for for this dishwasher lol.  I ca  put this baby to test if  how long it will last.  I don't think I would need frigidaire dishwasher parts soon as this is relatively new but let us see.  I am just glad to know that there is  a specific website where you can buy  Frigidaire dishwasher parts.  

On the other note, we met up with our real estate agent yesterday and looked at one house that was newly listed  at their website.  The house is only  five years old  and it has  1.4  acres of land  which we realy liked because there is  a large yard for the kids and our pets to run around to.  The owner is also leaving all their appliances and  window treatments and the most surprising part is the price that they listed it to, it's very low. The owner  really wants to sell it fast.  I mean I like the house, it's floor plan, and the land but I don't like fact that it is far from my  children's school.  So even if we like it, we are not going to bid on it.
