Farewell 2009

To say goodbye to 2009, I am sharing this poinsettias at my FIL's house. My sister -in-law brought this here before Christmas. If you will ask, it is a real flower, it's just that they put glitters on it. It's a combination of gold and red poinsettias.
The festive cake with poinsettias icing.
My niece, gave this deep red poinsettias to me. Thanks Jen!
Wishing you all a happy New Year!

Welcome to our Humble Abode

Since we moved back in the mainland, I haven't been to our home yet. So I asked my husband to take us there, the day before Christmas. So bracet out folks, I'll give you a little tour to our humble abode. We might not have beautiful and Modern Furniture but we certainly love our home. Our household goods won't arrive until the second week of January so our house is still naked hehehe.

Let's start with our doormat. I bought this online.

The foyer/entrance door.

My sister-in-law left her present for us here and we just had now the time to open and see it. Thanks Chris, we love it!

Our Master's bedroom.
The kids' room.
They only stayed there for minutes but look at the mess they already made lol.
Our living room.
Hallway
The heart of our home.. the kitchen.

This is originally a bedroom but the former owner of the house converted it into a dining room. We will be converting it back into a bedroom since our kids are getting big.
My sister in law made these working bench and table for the kids.
My not-so-in-the-mood son..
The big painting was given to us by the former owner and the small one was given by Dad.

The birthday gift that Tita Chris gave EJ last year, we opened it and Rylie was so thrilled more than EJ.

Ahhhhh I miss my comfy sofa.

Our basement..
Alrighty guys, that's it for now. Thanks for dropping by.

Business Enthusiast

My sister-in-law is very good with crafts and arts. She turned her skills in building crafts like the ones in the photos below into a business. She has a business now down at the Island Flea Market in Ohio where she sells her handicrafts and other creation.
I wonder if small business like my SIL's needs a business registration? I guess I have to find out by asking her that question next time. I am just curious because I know that when you put up a business here in the States, you must have some sort of legal papers or something like that.
Aside from those two, she also built a swing for Rylie when she was still a baby and it still exist until now. Both of our kids love using it, I even used sometimes.

Birthday..Greeting Cards.. Packages.. Wrapping Gifts.. etc.

We were so busy today that I wasn't able to blog hehehe. Hubby and daughter baked some buckeyes and choc. crinkles and I wrapped the presents. I put them all in the closet because my son likes to unwrap it already. I'll put it in under the tree tomorrow.
Speaking of presents/gifts, Santa Claus came early this week. I received a packaged from California yesterday from a dear friend of mine Dhemz of My Life's Perception & Inspiration. I was warned not to post about it though, so I won't hehehe (although I wanted too lol) but I am mabait kaya di na lang hahaha.
Anyhow, I love the sleepwear sis. I wrapped the things for the kids, I'll let them open it on Christmas. I put Akesha's name as the sender, oh diba masaya. I love your family newsletter, thanks for including us in your list. Thanks also to Shy Bakla of Simple happy Life, Ate Agnes, and to my BIL for the greeting cards we received.
Happy Happy Birthday Bakla!

Another package arrived today. Santa traveled all the way from Japan to here just to give us the presents that the lovely author of Kizuna has sent us. Thank you very much Clang, hubby is so happy with the Wasabi and I love everything you sent us especially the postcard and the photos.

Our Alone Time

Oh boy, it is so nice to be back home. Staying here at my FIL for a while gives my husband and I some alone time together like going out for a walk even on a cold winter night. He asked me the other if I want to go for a walk so I grabbed my camera and went.
It feels like we were just dating a couple of months ago and here we are with our two precious ones. I will be forever thankful for the Internet technology because it led me to my husband's heart.
Thanks to those dating sites that gives one week trial for free, I got to met my sweetheart. Nowadays, a lot of them are born such as vampire chat free and other specific sites that offer their services for free.
These photos were taken during our walk that my husband called a date hehehe.
After a we walk a couple of blocks, my feet were numbed already and I told my husband that I couldn't go any further anymore. So we went home, it was a nice little walk of just the two of us.
Now, I am not saying that we don't want the kids around. Its just sometimes, couple need some alone time. Do you agree? Thanks to my father-in-law who love playing with the kids.
When we arrived home, my daughter was giving us a hard time because she wanted to go too but we told her that we will take her the next night to see the lights.
I think hubby will post our family walk in his blog.
Have a happy holidays folks.
