Give Thanks!!

What are you thankful for this year? I am thankful that even though there are so many things going on (including undesirable events) in our life, we still have a house to live in, foods to eat, enough  finances to pay the bills, and we are friends and family!

Online Drama Shows at Blip

When it comes to shows, I like watching those with a touch of drama and mystery.  There's something in those shows that   connects me  to it and it's nice to watch them online especially if I  have two  competition when it comes to watching TV.  I hardly watch TV at home because  when it's on, it's the kids that are watching their shows.  But it's okay with me since there are   a few online sources that I know that post those videos and   allow you to watch the series  you missed.

Another emerging source of entertainment is the  online drama shows that are basically produced for online  showing.  Blip.TV is an online resource for the best dram series like Every Breath You Take, In His Steps, In-Transit and more.  They also have comedies, arts, sports, and other shows.  If you take a look at it, it's a brilliant idea because some talented individuals can  fully developed the full potential in creating a plot, producing a show or simply show their skill in acting.  The best part of it is we get to enjoy watching those  shows that they did.  And oh, just like any other  TV channel, they also  let you connect to  social media like Facebook so you can share whatever series you w love watching and  share it to your friends.

Back to watching my favorite TV shows online, I do that when I have free time after I do my house chores and  online tasks.  I a actually tempted to tell my husband to cancel our satellite TV  and just watch shows online.  It's free and the quality of viewing is just the same but I know that my husband would not agree hehehe.

If you are interested to know what  are the web series that the above mentioned website offers, you may visit them through the link I have provided above.  You'd be surprised to find  great  shows online and you can access it for free, no string attached. I must admit that I enjoy watching my favorite shows  online rather  than watching it on TV because it is less commercial and I get to do other  things  online  such as writing articles while  taking a glimpse to the shows that is on.

Sunset's Silhouette

"Know what you want to do, hold the thought firmly, and do every day what should be done, and every sunset will see you that much nearer to your goal." -Elbert Hubbard-
Photo was taken  few months ago when hubby and I attended a concert somewhere in PA.
I love the sunset's silhouette in this shot.

Construction Materials

I am not sure what kind of materials are these but  I like their colors so I took a couple of shots.
Looking at these  construction materials makes me think of a rainbow.

Affordable Place to Stay

Traveling is one enjoyable thing that one can do but   there are factors  that needs to be considered before going  anywhere.  Budget  always comes first when it comes to traveling.  Travelers tends to look for good deals on air fare, hotel accommodation  and  a good place  that serve  good food but decent  price.  If you are looking for  an   affordable place to stay, there are Hotels in the JFK queens area that  is within anyone's budget.   Having to stay in a nice and comfortable space while you are traveling is a must, let alone, one that fits your budget.

Snowmen

During the veteran's day, my kids were off from school so we decided to put up our Christmas three. Yeah, I know, it's too early but it's never early for Christmas, right?  Besides, it gave  me and my kids  some fun time in doing things together.

Glad I had these photos uploaded before my PC crashed. Anyhow, I got these two snowmen at Listia for free.   The site is an avenue where you can get rid of the things you don't need anymore and also get the things that you want for free.  You may check it out and join us through the link above.
The second snowman is made from light bulb and it's decorated with different kinds of stuff including twigs from the tree.

Adding Asian Flavors

If you taste buds are screaming for a change from your usual cooking style, consider adding some Asian flavors to your meals. Bold, spicy flavors paired with sweet flavors of plum and ginger can really wake up your mouth and add pizzazz to your day. Take a visit to the Asian aisle at your grocery store and explore these new and exciting flavors, but do not forget to stop by the cookware store, too. When it comes to Asian, any old pot does not do the job. You really need a great cast iron wok to get the flavors just right.

If you have never seen a wok before, it helps to know what you are looking for. A cast iron cooking wok has a round-bottomed shape and looks like a deep frying pan. It has two  handles, one on either side and can be anywhere from 12 to 50 inches in diameter. You probably want a moderately-sized wok for your home, since it has to fit on your burners. You can pick a cast iron coated wok or one made of solid material. There is little difference if you only plan on using it occasionally, but the solid material is more durable in the long run. Once you have chosen a wok to meet your needs, it is time to accumulate recipes for pot stickers, stir fries and spicy noodle soups.

Adding an Asian vibe to your cooking is a great way to shake things up in the kitchen. With a good wok and some creativity, you can create meals that appeal to any taste.

Que Sera Sera

Do you remember the  song Que Sera Sera?  I learned this song from my Mother, she used to sing this song to us.  Below is the lyrics and the video that you can watch..
Que Sera Sera lyrics

When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother, what will I be
Will I be pretty, will I be rich
Here's what she said to me.

Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.

When I grew up, I fell in love
I asked my sweetheart what lies ahead
Will we have rainbows, day after day
Here's what my sweetheart said.

Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.

Now I have children of my own
They ask their mother, what will I be
Will I be handsome, will I be rich
I tell them tenderly.

Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.

Disclaimer. video is not mine.

This song  comes to mind when I think about what my children would become.  As a parent, you can't help but think about their future.

Turning Clicks into Profit

Turning clicks into Profit is easier to achieve when you have access to the internet.    I just redeemed  some gift cards from an online company that I am a member of as a reward for doing the things that I normally do  such as  searching  online, reading emails and etc.  This type of things are the little  stuff that I do on my free time, it's an extra shopping spree you can have during Christmas.  I also redeemed  the points I earned from another  company  and turn it into cash in my paypal account.
