Flashback

NEW LOGO
I took these images months ago at Lowe's. Pardon me again as I don't know the name of this flowers.  They look so beautiful.  This reminds me of the first few weeks that  the Vice President of the Finance Office took over  in the office where  I was assigned  when I was a working student.  He brought a bunch of these plants in the school and distributed them in every offices.
My favorite photo is the last shot because of that small three leaf tiny plant emerging in it.

African Printed Dogs

These are images of the African Printed Dogs that I took when we visited  Pittsburgh Zoo.  I have seen a color like this in the Philippines but they are just ordinary dogs not like these African ones.  They look freaky but at the same time intriguing!  They call the place Painted Dog Bush Camp.  You may click the photo for a larger view.

Childhood Glimpse

When I was in elementary, I used to walk from our house  to our school in the nearby barangay everyday of the week.  There is a river that's dividing our barangay to the other barangay where the school is.  There is no bridge so we have to  cross the river through a small banca when it's high tide.  But when  the water is low, we  look for the shallow part  and just pray that no one  drown.

You might say that it is crazy for the parents to let kids do that but it is a form of training for us, for our survival.  That's how we learn things in the remote area in the Philippines.  I never appreciated the beauty that we have in our place till lately.  When I was growing up, all I could think is  get out from that place because  everywhere I look, its a picture of poverty .  Looking back now, I am glad that I grew up there, it made me who I am now.

Donsol is one of the most visited place  by foreigners in Bicol ever since the  awareness of Butanding or whaleshark was  exposed.

Autumn Leaves

Here's another fall colors for you folks.  whenever we are driving around, I can't help myself but to take pictures of the beautiful leaves of the trees.  Thanks for dropping by and for leaving your trail.

Teeny Weeny Fish

Do you see that teeny weeny fish that's emerging from the sand (please click the photo to enlarge it)?  I am not sure what the name of this  small fish but he is so cute when we were looking at the aquarium in Pittsburgh Zoo.  I remember hubby told me  what the name of it  but for the love of me, I can't remember it.  Sign of aging eh?

Hungry Birds

After the big bag of food for the birds got emptied, I did not buy no more as I thoughts birds will migrate somewhere else as the cold temperature approaches. They come and visit us everyday still and I fee bad. We throw the end pieces of the bread in our back yard and they can eat it in no time.  Below are some shots I took about the hungry birds in our yard.  Enjoy the video~!

Pumpkins & Mums

Took this shot in front of Kroger's the last time we went there.  They have plenty of pumpkins and mums displays.  We did not buy our pumpkin there because it was a little expensive.

Sea Urchin

A couple of shots I took when we went inside PPG Aquarium in Pittsburgh a couple of months ago.   When I was a kid, this is  what we usually avoid stepping on in the ocean because it hurts like heck when you step on it.

Shadow Shots

The first three shots were taken months ago at our kitchen while the last one was aken the other at my FIl's house.three.  It's 1 am already wahhh, I was so busy today  and did not have time to blog.  Thanks for dropping by friends and for yur comments as usual!

Wrinkle Treatment

Are you tired of observing those lines appearing in your face? For those who want to find treatment for their wrinkle, http://www.wrinkletreatment.org has a bunch of information pertaining to some cosmetic products that could help eliminate those unwanted lines in your face.  I am starting to see some on my face especially on the crest of my eyes but  not that bad.  I guess when I turn 40, there would be more visible ( I hope not lol).  If you want some detailed information about certain wrinkle treatment products, just visit the link I have provided here.

Geolumins

Have you ever heard of geolumins? Geolumins are used in gardens if  you want to create a glow in your garden and be noticed by passerby. Below is an article from Gardening club that I received as newsletter. You might want to read it if you love gardening and would love some glow in it.
Geolumins
We're always looking for something that'll get our garden noticed. Having people stop and admire our garden by day is one thing, but having it lit up at night will cause some serious gawking.

No, we're not talking about path lighting. We're talking about something brand new: glow-in-the-dark rocks, pebbles, and sand from Geolumins.

How fun would it be to have your garden paths glow green at night as these specially treated rocks come to life? Just 15 minutes in the sun and Geolumins are recharged and ready to start glowing in the dark. Surround flagstones on walkways, draw attention to your favorite piece of garden art, or accent flowerbeds and retaining walls. You can even line koi ponds and fountains, because they're safe for aquatic life.

Fresh Tomatoes on Winter

I wonder when the frost is coming because I still have plenty of peppers and tomatoes in my garden that are waiting to be ripen.  I don't want to pick them unless I have to so that I will have some stock during winter.  Below is an article I received from Gardening club that gives tips on how to grow fresh tomatoes all winter.
mini-greenhouse
Wouldn't it be nice to grow tasty herbs and fresh tomatoes in your very own greenhouse all winter long? And don't forget about starting seedlings, growing your favorite tropical plants, and forcing spring bulbs.

If you're concerned about a greenhouse being too expensive, too permanent, and too much of a space hog, think again. A mini-greenhouse gives you some of the advantages of a permanent greenhouse without the steep investment.

Ranging from small cold-frame structures to large walk-in freestanding types, these inexpensive greenhouses are designed to be semi-permanent, lasting a few to several years. Many mini-greenhouses are portable and easy to store when you're not using them. Some require a bit of assembly, while others take about as much time to put up as a pup tent.

Champ is Styling

Rylie got bored the other day so she took  her  Chuck e Cheese shirt and put it on Champ.  It's funny because Champ didn't care at all.  He just keep on playing with his ball after  Rye got done dressing him up.  Sorry Champ but you look cute  with it lol.

Early Birds

Took this shot last Wednesday when I walked  my daughter to her classroom.  These three are always the early birds in their room.  I was glad to see Rylie's progress report today,  she got SATISFACTORY rating in all the fields/subjects.  I'll post a separate one about it.

Freckles

NEW LOGO
Pardon me for the title but I just don't know what to call this flower because I don't know its name.  I believe I took these shots at Lowe's months ago.  I find it very pretty and wished to plant some in my yard but the price was a little over my budget so I did not buy.

As identified by Cher (thank you), this is called Fox gloves flower.

Lobster

These were taken at PPG Aquarium in Pittsburgh Zoo.  A huge lobster  that most of the kids are fascinated with.  Do you think, it's tasty when cooked?  Hahaha pardon me for thinking a little morbid here.

The Boss

My husband and I totally respect each other so in our family, there is no boss. For everything that we do, we always talk about it, we might disagree with each other's opnion but we make sure to end up with one agreement.  I am so thankful that my husband is not like other men who controls their wife or they seem to be very dominant with everything.

Personally, the keys to a healthy relationship is an open communication, respect, and support for each other.  We don't really do things that we both don't agree because we don't want to blame each other if the end result is not what we are hoping for.  Just my  cents of thoughts for this week's topic at..

One Change

Big Mama

I would like to thank Rheanna of Just One Change Weight Loss for inviting me to join her goals in losing weight. I am skinny (weighing 95 lbs),  but the  thing that I am struggling with is losing my belly fat.  It seems that no mater what I do, the bulge of extra  and unwanted  fat is staying there forever.  I know that I should listen to my husband in  doing my crunches and sit up but I am just not motivated to do it.  Maybe by joining this  meme, I would be able to.  A friend told me that I am being hard on myself  because she can't even see the fat that I am talking about. Maybe I am being hard on myself but whenever I  face the mirror and see my  flabby tummy, I am not happy. So today, I am doing my part, even just 5 sit ups a day will do.

Do you want to join us in losing weight? Just  click the badge above.  Below was taken last Sunday.  I would like to be able to wear my dresses again without having to worry about my tummy fat.

Yellow Against Lilac

MellowYellowBadge
I can't get enough of this little butterfly who  was dancing around the pepper plant while my daughter was picking the fruits.
I think she was trying to get full from that lilac flower.
Yellow, Lilac, and Pink looks great when they are together isn't it?
