My niece in law just recently moved from their old house to a new one. The distance where they moved is not that far so their Dog Toby (below)keep going back to their old house because of his friend.
They have to put him on the leash so he won't go back there anymore. Now Toby's friend is the one visiting him in his new house hehehe. I forgot what Toby's friend's name is (below).
Isn't it amazing how loyal the friendship of dogs are?. Sometimes I'd like to think that they are more loyal than humans.
You are so right Rose. I remember a video posted at you tube about a dog in Japan that would not desert his dog friend who was temporarily incapacitated because of the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan. He refused rescue if his dog friend would not be attended to first. What canine loyalty that shames some people who thinks only about themselves. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.

ReplyDeleteSHADOWY DINNER
A shadow, a shadow, a shadow you say?
A shadow is coming to dinner today?
Oh, what shall we feed it, and what will it eat?
Just toss down a few rays of light at its feet,
And watch its dark mouth gobble up every ray,
But be sure, my friend, you don’t get in its way;
Keep out of the light so it won’t gobble you.
(If I were the hostess, that’s just what I’d do.)
A shadow is easy to feed, so they say,
So welcome your shadow to dinner today.

That's really sweet.. I am not so fond of big dogs.. I like the smaller ones but I hardly cuddle with them.. but there's this one dog that I met recently, owned by my dad's sister.. and that's the only that I've genuinely liked.. I want to bring him home..
ReplyDeleteHaving had a few dogs in my life (although a cat now), I agree with their loyalty. They love us for ourselves, they are happy to be with us without conditions...
