During our tour in Google Headquarters in Mountainview California, we got the chance to see their Self Driving Car. They took us out of the building overlooking this beautiful hill nearby.
I love the ecollective van that is displayed in their parking area that says "Recycle your unwanted electronics, it's safe, easy and free."It reminds me of the electronics stuff we have here at home that we no longer need and use. I wish I could recycle them but the problem is I don't know how to erase personal information in it that I am scared to send it to recycling place.
Anyway, we learned a tad bit if information about the self driving car that Google is trying to develop. I mean, how cook is that! It might just be the perfect car for me since I hate driving hahaha.
Here are more shots.
We had a blast during the tour. Too bad, the battery of my camera did not last very long so I have no pictures for the rest of the tour.
I am so glad that we all went as a family even though it dented our finances but it was definitely worth every cent that we spent. Thanks also to Google for letting us all come during the awarding as opposed to two-person only attendance.
What do you think of the Google's self driving car? Would you let the car drive for you or you won't be comfortable with it?
Google invention is incredible. You're lucky to visit and enjoy a trip in their latest invention. Thanks for sharing the happy moments.
ReplyDeleteAn amazing Google vision. I am even surprised that Google encourages people to experience the feel of being in the car before it is released to the public.
ReplyDeleteI have to confess that I'd rather be in control of the car, rather than turn it over to a computer!

I am sitting here trying to figure out who is funding Google to create that car! I wonder what else they have going on. It kind of frightens me. Not sure if I could just sit back and let a car drive itself considering how wrong GPS directions usually are! That is a beautiful corporate headquarters they have.
ReplyDeleteWow, Google is definitely redefining the way we live now... awesome,, hugs to the burritos Rose :)
ReplyDeletepretty neat right? I don't think I would buy that car...I'd rather ride my bike...hahaha!
ReplyDeletewow..that's really innovative of them to have the self driving car...might be awesome and would lessen car accidents.
ReplyDeleteHow cool this is Sis R. What an unforgettable experience for the pretty Miss B and the family too.
ReplyDeleteThat is nice that they let the whole family come to the event. I think the car sounds intriguing. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is the coolest! The future is now, folks. That's amazing.
ReplyDeleteI think this would be fun to experience! I would love to just send the car to do all my mommy pick ups and drop offs!
ReplyDeleteWow that sounds so cool. I think when I was I kid I thought there would always be self driving cars.
ReplyDeleteThis would be difficult to get used to at first but soooo cool! I'd love to see how it works first hand.
ReplyDeleteThat is one of the things we've been waiting for! It would be so nice to take a nap for four hours and get to wherever it is I'm going lol.
ReplyDeleteWow! What will they come up with next?! Such an innovative product! Lucky you to have visited the headquarters ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a amazing experience. They said that it wouldn't happen but there is that proof. Wow! The car itself looks pretty awesome I think.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is incredibly jealous of you. He loves keeping up on what google is brewing up in the lab.
ReplyDeleteOMG I would love to try out this Google car! Look what technology can do!
ReplyDeleteI think it's very cool to drive it and I would love to try. You're so lucky to experience it with your family, sis.
ReplyDeleteI have seen this car on TV. It is crazy to think it can drive itself. I would love to try it out.
ReplyDeleteMy teenage daughter is ready to learn to drive. This car would take the stress off of me to teach her lol
ReplyDeleteOh google! I think it's pretty cool. I've only ever heard of it and seen it online never in person! It would be neat!
ReplyDeleteoh wow that is so cool, i would love to tour google one day too and that self driving car is impressive
ReplyDeleteIt would be so fun to work with/for Google! Oh the places they go! I agree with many comments though, I am not sure I would want to release control over!
ReplyDeleteA self driving car sounds good to me, too. Sometimes I just don't feel like driving so it would be nice to let someone {or something} else do it.
ReplyDeleteI'll admit that it is an interesting idea. However, I prefer to do the driving myself. I can't even trust my GPS half of the time, let alone a car to do all of the driving. ;)
ReplyDeleteWow! I'd love to try this! I can't believe we have reached this stage with technology.
ReplyDeleteUUMMM… I'm kinda torn. Part of me wants to say WOW awesome! Part of me wants to run and scream into the "days of yore" when humans did human things and didn't have something electrically buzzing or doing something 24/7… AND I'M ONLY 28!! haha. Definitely a cool concept though!
ReplyDeletewow. We humans have come up with some pretty cool things. how neat is this?
ReplyDeleteA self driving car, huh? That does seem pretty neat but at the same time.. I'd rather be in full control.
ReplyDeleteOh! I think you had a great experienced and tat was great event!
ReplyDeleteIn theory, a self driving car sounds cool. But, it will never be 100% perfect. I would be too afraid that a computer chip would fry and the car would go crazy and who knows who would get hurt in the process.
ReplyDeleteI Can't believe technology nowadays! This looks so cool. Very fun!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't feel comfortable with that at all. When I am on the road, I need to be in full control or it drives me nuts. I feel all these electronic are just making people lazy. I mean what do you do during the ride, not everyone read. For me driving has always been fun, I don't see the fun in this.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun app! I love seeing new technology goodies. Too bad I'm so behind.
ReplyDeleteSo neat, but I'm not sure I would like to drive (or ride, I guess?) a self driving car! I'd have to see it first! I too have tons of electronics to get rid of, but don't know how to delete personal information!
ReplyDeleteI think that this is the start of something that will revolutionize transportation in the world. I hope that more features will come out soon!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how far technology has come and the things Google has been establishing. I think I'm with a few others and personally don't feel comfortable with a car having complete control over driving and not me.
ReplyDeleteThis is totally an awesome car indeed. My sons actually showed me this a while ago. I couldn't believe it even existed. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThey featured a self-driving car on ABC World News last week and although it is fascinating, I think it would also be weird to just be sitting in the driver's seat and doing nothing. :)
