Labor Day at Tomlinson Run State Park

Our Labor day was mellow but we had so much  fun trekking.  We took our  kiddos  at Tomlinson Run State Park and they were excited because  it's been a while since we visited there.  Unexpected trips like this always makes  our kids say "You're the best parents ever!"
There is nothing much  to do  out there but simple things like  skipping rocks or  watching wild animals is a real treat for them.  You can however rent  a boat and  paddle  on the lake but  they are closed on the weekends and  holidays so we don't really have an option.  At this time of the year, most of the fish that  the park put in are all gone  so catching fish is not an option either besides we don't  have a license to fish.
They  brought their slippers  because they wanted to dip their feet in the  lake and  catch some crayfish.  They  always wants to do this every time we go there.  They catch  them and then release  them again before we leave.
I am so glad that there's not enough  geese poo in there.  There are times where you can't even walk around because the geese  just trash it with their waste but not this year.
We love to sit in the bench and  watch the  birds fly by.  It's a perfect family bonding.  We get to talk about everything the kids school, their friends, and just about anything that we can think of.

My camera's battery got drained but we took some photos with my cellphone.   The kids were so happy to see a group of turkey crossed the park.  I am still trying to convince my minion for us to  hike or do a long  trek in the park.  My son is on board but my daughter got traumatized when we  walked there one time and she was eaten by mosquito.  Even with  bug spray, she's still  get mosquito bites and it's not a good thing because she is allergic to mosquito bite.
