When filing a bankruptcy, it is best to hire a lawyer so you would understand fully what are included in the chapter 7 exemptions. There are certain properties that will be exempted from the filing. Now, every state has different rules on this exemptions so a local attorney could help you with this matter. I have never filed a bankruptcy so I don't know exactly what are included and excluded ones. It must be a very tough situation to be in so I hope that I would not have to go through this in my life.
