This little guy is a regular visitor at my FIL's porch.
He watches my FIL from the sidewalk and when he sees that he puts peanut, he runs towards the porch and grab his treat. This is his first trip. His second trip. Even if we are watching by the door, he doesn't care. He comes and grab his peanuts lol. Look how he stretches his short legs when he leaps in the air .

ReplyDeleteHa! He's so cute!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet ! I love these little animals I have seen them for the first time in the Bryce Canyon when we were there in 1995 ! I had never seen them before. They ate out of my hand !
ReplyDeleteChipmunks are always cute and always make us talk in a higher voice than we normally do!
ReplyDeletewe have squirrels but no chipmunks
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie! Thanks for your visit and comment. Have a nice day! here it has been raining all day, it's miserable.
ReplyDeleteHi Rose! Is a chipmunk the same as a squirrel? And you wrote that the photo of the windmill reminded you of South Korea. Is South Korea also flat like the Netherlands? I know so little about your country. I should like to know more.
ReplyDeleteHi Wil, squirrel and chipmunks are different. Squirrels are a little bigger and has a bushy tail while the latter are smaller. I know that squirrels can climb trees but I haven't seen chipmunks do that, they might but I am not sure.
DeleteAbout Korea, there are mountains and there are also plains. Philippines is my country but we lived in South Korea for two years when my husband was still in the Navy.
Thank you Rose! Of course your country is the Philipines. I should ha ve known that. Sorry.
DeleteHaha it's okay Wil, i did that to you last time lol.
DeleteI absolutely adore chipmunks, so I really enjoyed this post! Your photos are great, especially those last two action shots! Doesn't Chip look pleased with himself? That peanut must make for a pretty tasty "carry out" dinner! :-)
ReplyDeleteWe had a local chipmunk at our place in Maine when I was in high school. My mom named her Bertha, and she was a hoot. She became very tame and would sit in our hand and eat, and even ran into the house one day when Mom opened the door! Bertha had a lot of personality, we really loved her.
Cute! It makes me remember 2 squirrel visitors we had at our old house. They weren't afraid of people at all.

Oops, I forgot to mention that you're lucky to be able to see chipmunks like this. I don't think I've ever seen one of the little guys/gals in person. I think they're so cute!
