Here are some of my drive-by shot of the rustic old steel mill in Weirton. Some buildings are rusty as they are not operating anymore but some are are still in operation.
Just a short glimpse of what you would see in Weirton.
That last photo is especially fascinating. Just last evening, I took a good look at the cement plant near me. (posted on facebook, which is linked to my blog). It is quite well hidden, but many would say it mars the False Creek view. Yet, where would we be without cement (or steel)?
is it still operating? looks like a monstrosity.:p

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your blues.
Happy Blue Monday, Rose.
Loved the tour through this area and the mill.
ReplyDeleteI think it's more "rusty" than "rustic" but those are great shots.

DeleteYou got a point of being "rusty" but it's also rustic because it is on the country side. Thanks for visiting.
Deletelooks more RUSTY than rustic, but interesting nonetheless

Wonderful shots of mills by the road.
ReplyDeleteI like the big huge tubes... really interesting!
ReplyDeleteThe sky looks beautiful but some of the old steel mills are sad to see not being used anymore. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteInteresting pictures. The mills are like sculptures against the blue sky.
