Compact Disc

A friend of mine who is living in Germany now sent me this compact disc containing a compilation of bicol folk songs. Bicol folk songs are kind like the country songs.  All of the songs listed in this CD  were sung by  a famous folk singer in our region, Ms. Carmen Camacho.  The cover shows the   popular Cagsawa Ruins.  The top of the ruin is just the bell tower of a  big church that was  buried when Mayon volcano erupted years ago.
Anyhow, Fe is a very good friend of mine. Me and her work at the same school before we left our country. She worked as a cashier in the High School department while I work at the student affairs in College campus. Me and her shared the same  kind of life growing up, she was also a  working students just like me.  She  used to write at her Around Nature Spring blog but when she  had her twin boys, she  lie lowed a little.  I miss you Mads, thanks a lot for sending me  this CD.  Me and the kids enjoy listening to it even though they don't understand the language, I just explained the lyrics to them.

  17. Receiving that CD must have brought back childhood memories of your life in Bicol. The most famous Bicolano song that I know is Dandansoy. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
