My father-in-law gave this old list of the Presidents of the United States from 1780 to 1981. My husband said that he got this paper somewhere when he was in grade school. I am glad that my FIL kept it.
Presidential Oath of Office
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute
the Office of the President of the United States,
and will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect,
and defend the Constitution of the United States."
I apologize for not visiting everyone often for the past week, our schedules had been very busy due to the passing of my BIl and my daughter's activities in school. Again, in behalf of the family, I thank everyone who left kind and comforting words at my blogs and most especially for the PRAYERS!

ReplyDeleteTake care!
It's great to have a list of all the Presidents of the United States from George Washington to Barack Obama. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
ReplyDeleteYears ago I got a similar keepsake: reproducitions of the front page of the New York Times for every presidential election going back to the founding of the paper…but mine ended with Nixon!
ReplyDeleteMy ABC Wednesday this week is Pink!

ReplyDeleteMy Third Eye
Sorry about losing your BIL.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me and such a nice comment too.
My Cat, Sara, asked me to write to you. She's a good cat, but she not very good about writing when it comes to really serious things. I had to write about Sigge the cat when he passed away, and when the kittens were born in April and one of them died, she ran off and hid herself under a bed.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for your loss of Bil. I wish I could say something helpful and comforting. It seems that if you really love someone there is never enough time to be with this person. My parents loved each other very much and Daddy lived until he was 88 years old. But my mother still misses him so. She says that she is grateful to have been married to such a fine and loving man.
I'm sure that your Bil was a wonderful husband and father. But these words don't offer much comfort.
The presidents chart is very nice. It's hard to see how big it is. Maybe you should have it framed?
Best wishes,
Anna
Sara Cat sends purrs. She's coming out from under the bed and wants to rub her face against your hand. (That's her way of saying that she is sorry.)
