Hello in Korean

We lived in South Korea for almost two years when my husband was still in active duty in the navy but I have never really learned their language. It is so difficult. The only thing that I won't forget is saying hello which is Anyeong Haseyo.
These photos were taken inside the  Navy base in Chinhae, South Korea with other   kids and the Korean girl that we met at church.  She was really good in English that's why  the kids love her as she can communicate well to them.

Below is a video that I found in youtube where you can learn some phrases that are usually used in Korean language. Their alphabet is called hangul and it is also very difficult to learn. There are different characters in a letter.

  3. I have a very good friend, Chan Lee Peng, who is Malaysian. He writes in Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Mandarin and English. I am so grateful that he has learned English as we are such good friends and could not be if he had to wait for me to learn another language. I admire the people who are gifted with learning languages.

  10. My state requires each child to have two years of a foreign language to graduate from high school. I went to a parochial school and the only language they taught was latin. A complete waste of two years in my book. At least my child and grandchild learned some spanish and French.

My husband lived in the Philippines for seven years and married a Filipino woman so he speaks some tagalog. It does surprise Filipino people here when he speaks to them.

  14. I was just going to ask if you mostly talk to them in English since you didn't know much of theirs. I know some people who are in SK right now working as English teachers and it amazes me seeing their photos of the country. How was SK, by the way mommy? Did you like it there?
