The Robin that is occupying our back porch only has two or three eggs every year but the one that is occupying our front porch, she always has more.
When my husband mowed the grass the other, he saw this empty shell laying around in the yard. I am not sure if one hatched already or the mom tried to bring one egg somewhere and it broke. I don't know lol.
Are these eggs real? now lang kasi ako nakakita ng blue eggs hehe.. nice :)

Robin eggs are so beautiful. I hope the one on the grown didn't mean it fell from the nest.
ReplyDeleteWish I had a Robin living on my porch.
The egg is always more beautiful than the bird inside. Why is that?
ReplyDeleteA wonderful post and photos, esp. for this time of year!!
ReplyDeleteI just love therobin egg blue color. I hope you get to see some hatch. It would be so exciting for your kids too.
ReplyDeleteSix in one nest! I don't think I've ever seen that many before! Wonderful photos.

Beautiful photos, the eggs are a wonderful shade of blue
ReplyDeleteI wonder kung bakit blue ang eggs nang red robin...dapat red...joke! hehehhee! visiting from cmf sis.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a robin's egg in real life. Looks kind of like Tiffany Blue.
ReplyDeleteThere must be something about your porch that helps the robins produce more eggs!
ReplyDeleteWow! I've never seen blue-colored eggs before.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing that the one egg your hubby saw was left there by a predator. Mommy birds never move their eggs away from the nest kasi the nest provides insulation to the eggs when she's not there to sit on them. And kaya empty yun kasi nakain na siya. :(
So cool to be able to watch your robin's nest--hopefully you will see the babies hatch. What fun!!!! Mickie :)
ReplyDeletewow! green eggs! my first time to see such egg color. seemed unnatural.
ReplyDeleteregards rose.
Ngayon lang ako nakakita ng blue eggs~parang nakakatuwang hawakan^_^
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty nets with those little blue eggs. I've never seen them in real life either.
ReplyDeleteWow, I have never seen any bird's eggs before especially in their nest. Must be so exciting on your part to see them on your yard. The robins in your place must be so familiar with you folks that they are no longer afraid to lay their eggs on nests in your place. That reminds me of Kim (US) who use to feed and care for birds in her place too. God bless you both for taking care of God's little creatures. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
ReplyDeleteMay blue pala na itlog, white saka orange brown lang alam ko, except sa batik2.
