Kellog's Cereal

My Burritos love Kellog's Mini wheat which is good because it has 23% dietary fiber in it. We also like their Rice Krispies when making rice cripes treats. Other cereal that we like at home is cherries and my favorite is Kashi's Go Lean Crunch Honey Almond Flax. It has as much protein as an egg. But anyhow, Kellogs has a Family Rewards program where you can collect points out of the codes that they have in the box. All you have to do enter the said code at the website and you can redeem it for any prize that you want.
I qualified for a free wristband  with the codes I entered  so they sent me one.   The wristband has a "Breakfast Rocks"  printed in it.  I don't really need the wristband but I redeemed it just because  for every wristband, a free meal would be given to a hungry child.

How to Save Money in Las Vegas

Nevada’s heart, Las Vegas is home to the infamous Strip, is famous for glitz, glamour, showgirls and casinos, but don’t let its synonymy with big spending put you off! If you’re on a budget, don’t be scared of paying a visit to Sin City – you don’t have to spend loads to have a good time down in the Silver State!

If you don’t want to break the bank when you’re over in Vegas, here are a few tips that should help you out a bit. Keep them in mind whilst you’re out there and your thriftiness will pay off!

Getting Around
After collecting your bags from the carousel and getting your bearings, the first thing you do when you’ve touched down at McCarran will probably be to get a taxi. Although these will usually be parked right outside the airport, they can often be quite costly, like the black cabs at home.
To reduce the cost of the taxi, tell your driver to avoid the L-215 tunnel – this is a common route to up your fare! If there are six of you, considering getting a limo: riding in style will work out cheaper than two taxis!

Public transport is pretty good too – get a 24 hour bus pass to go up and down the Strip, or use the many shuttles between casinos.

Evening Activities
When you get to your hotel, make sure to ask at reception whether they have any coupon booklets, as these can save you a small fortune on dining out. Don’t go to the buffets in the evening, as they are offer the same variety at lunch time for a greatly reduced price.
When it comes to watching a show, the best way is to plan ahead and book your tickets online before you leave home – this should save you a fair amount of cash. There are also a number of free shows available to you; the casinos tend to offer entertainment in the evenings, if you’re still gambling away!

Gambling
Of course, the main draw of Sin City is the gambling – that’s what you’re there for! As long as you don’t go way over the top, you should be fine, but make sure to take advantage of the free tutorials so that you can up your game without making any costly mistakes.

Make a budget and, more importantly, stick to it rigidly. If you make a loss one day, don’t eat up your budget chasing that elusive big win, or else you may wind up blowing your entire holiday’s worth of spends in one big wipe out. You don’t want to be that one person in the corner attempting to sell your shoes for another go on the slots.

And remember – drinks are free whilst you play, so you can have a great night for less, as long as you remember to tip the server.

By keeping these tips in mind, you will be less likely to go bust in Vegas, and will be able to come home without having to resort to a second mortgage. Have fun!

You want as much money as possible when visiting Las Vegas to do all the things you want to do so saving money on getting there is essential. Try taking a look at http://www.cheapflights.com which will hopefully save you some money on your airlines tickets.

Gummies... Dental... etc..

We buy this Gummies  for our Burritos to take everyday.  This helps promotes healthy growth and development of their  bodies.  My Burritos  said that it has great taste and it is fun to eat.  It has 6 great shapes of their favorite Cars character  with three yummy flavors, grapes, orange and cherry.  Although my  kids eats fruits and veggies, it is still good to give them some extra that they might be lacking with the foods they eat.
On the other hand, February is the  dental month.  Ms, Burrito made this tooth photo in school and we put it underneath   our calendar as a reminder of our dental appointment this coming Thursday.  How about you, have you visited your Dentist yet?  Remember that having a healthy gums and teeth is very important.
Onto the weather,  we are in the  40s right now but according to the weather channel, we are suppose to get   rain and strong winds by noon so I am dreading it.  It's hard to walk when its raining and at the same time windy as you can't use umbrella.  I hope that  the rain will  pour after  I pick up my kids.

Jennifer Lawrence, Best Actress 2013

The Oscar Awarding Ceremony has just concluded a couple of nights ago and winners  were announced.  Did you guys watch it? Jennifer Lawrence won the Best Actress Award  for "Silver Lining Playbook" and Anne Hathaway  is the Best Supporting Actress  for "Les Miserables".  The most  unforgettable  moment of the night was when Jennifer Lawrence fell on the steps when she was going up the stage to  receive  the award.  I did not watch it  live  but watched  it online, the night after  the awards night was over.  How I wish that I have a streaming server so I could have watched  the said  event on a streaming broadcast.  I am just glad  that I got to watch it online.

I was browsing online trying to find some streaming videos when I  stumbled upon Wowza Media Server 3.5.  This company provides a powerful  multi-threaded software that delivers to up to 10Gbps of per-server video streaming performance for on-demand and live streaming.  They also have add ons such as Wowza Transcoder, nDVR, DRM, and StreamLock AddOn.  You can try their free trial and see if   Wowza's Media Server is  something that you want to have.  Just click the link above to visit their website and find out the details.

Fairy HobMother.. Communion Dress.. Wishlist.. etc..

PhotobucketHey, hey, hey, good morning  beautiful people in the blogland!  I was ecstatic when I received an email from the  all time favorite and  well-known  Fairy Hobmother in the blogosphere.  I have been commenting on blogs that was  sprinkled by his  magic fairy dust and so glad that the Fairy Hobmother  finally visited my blog.

So what's the frenzy (in a good way)  of getting visited  by the Fairy Hobmother?  Well, you will be showered  and rewarded with a prize that you can spend to buy one of the Tumble Dryers or anything that you want to buy at the appliances specialist website.  I don't need any appliances right now so I think I will be using my reward for something else.

I just  received the communion dress  that my daughter is going to wear in May and I need a pair of shoes and a veil for it so I might use the Fairy Hobmother's reward to purchase them.
I  have these items on my wishlist at amazon so hopefully I could get them in time.

Wondering how to get in touch with the Fairy Hobmother?  It's simple, all you have to do is  leave a comment on this post and follow the Fairy Hobmother in Twitter and let him know that you are a fan!

Thanks a lot Fairy Hobmother!

Top Travel Money Queries

Unless you are a very frequent traveler  changing currency is something that takes a bit of getting used to. With lots of jargon and technical terms, it can be confusing for the casual holidaymaker, to say the least.

To give you a hand with all of your currency conundrums, here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.

How often do currency markets change?

Currency is one of the most volatile markets, moving up and down every second. If you spot a good deal, it's often a good idea to lock it in, as you have no way of predicting the likely direction the market might take.

I don't understand the difference between buy and sell - which rates apply to me?

If you are looking to swap UK pounds for some foreign money, you will need to focus on the sell rate. This is how much you will get for your pound if you are purchasing foreign currency. When you return from overseas, the buy rate is what you will get if you exchange your leftover holiday cash for UK money.

Should I change my cash at the airport?

It is possible to get your holiday money at the airport, but the chances are you won't get a very competitive deal. The best rates tend to be available online via currency brokers. You can get up to 5% more than in high street banks, leaving you more in your pocket to spend on your holiday!

But aren't online companies a bit risky?

Not at all if you take the right precautions. All reputable companies are registered and regulated by the Financial Services Authority, which means they have passed robust financial audits. In addition, all of the companies used by soswitch.com use secure SSL technology, which means that all your data is encrypted. It's just as safe as internet banking, which is now more or less commonplace!

OK - so what do I look for on comparison tables?

To get the best deals, you need to focus on two things, namely exchange rates and commission charges. The companies offering the most competitive package will provide the best exchange rates and either 0% or low commission charges.

But how do I pay for it?

All of the companies on online are different, so check their websites for individual details. As a general rule you can usually pay by credit or debit card, cheque or bank transfer.

What if I have currency left over when I get back?

Some companies operate a buy-back policy. This means they guarantee to exchange your currency back into UK cash without charging you commission. Very handy!

How will I receive my money?

Many companies offer a delivery service, which is insured up to  2,500 via Royal Mail. Money over this amount is normally broken down into smaller parcels for security purposes. Someone will need to be at the delivery address to sign for the parcel.

Could I not just use my bankcard instead?

You could but you might get a nasty shock when you return. There's a myriad of different charges, fees and exchanges you need to watch out for unless you have a card that has been specifically designed for use overseas.

Wedding Reception

When my husband and I got married, the wedding reception was catered by the hotel where we stayed.  It was included in the package and the hotel was also in-charge for the decoration at the wedding reception hall.  It was a very special day for us  as we have seen  most of my family  from both sides.  It was just sad that  my husband is alone, his family are miles away so they couldn't come but nevertheless, it was a wonderful day for all of us.

Upon seeing the selection of centerpieces at eFavorMart, it immediately reminds me of that day.  The motif colors  of our wedding were yellow and red.  This floating candle bowl looks makes an elegant centerpiece, perfect for a romantic night or for special occasion such as  anniversaries.  Some  women are gifted  and skillful when it comes to hosting parties.  They sure know what to do in decorating and putting things together.  I lack on this aspect, I am not good with  decorating or hosting a party for that matter.

Anyhow, if you are looking for a perfect center piece to use  with the occasion you are planning to host, check out the selection at  the above mentioned website.  They have different selection.  You can also  view their video tutorials if you want to  learn  how to do it.

Coupon Code

My daughter and I love watching the TV show, Chopped from Food Network channel.   We get to see talented chefs  from different backgrounds.  Some chef learn their talent in school and some just learn it from experience.   Some contestants works at  popular restaurants, some are  restaurants  owner and some own a catering services.  I am always interested to those  catering services owner as they offer different varieties of food to different customers.  I am sure that they uses  tableclothsfactory coupon code to buy the things that they need for every catering service they render.

When you own a business there are so many expenses  that needs to be addressed and  I am sure that you look for ways to  save money in buying the things you need.  Coupon codes  always helps to save money in buying the things you need.  Factory discounts are a great help for business owners.  Sometimes, I wonder how it is to own a restaurant or even just to  get a franchise such as Dairy Queen or McDonald.  Hubby once  inquired about  franchise and found out that  it's  very expensive to get one.  Venturing into a business requires   deep planning and preparation so it is always an advantage if you are  financially, physically, and mentally prepared for the challenge.

Religious Statues

Some of the religious statues we have at home.  I bought the Jesus figurine at Walmart years ago and  the Family figurine was bought at a garage sale for a dollar.

Jump Start

Most of stores nowadays have  an online outlet to serve those consumers who can't  go to a physical store.  Most of this online stores uses ecommerce shopping cart for speedy check out.  eCommerce shopping cart would help businesses sell their merchandise a lot faster and  easier.  If you own a business online and would like to know how you can  sell fast, check out the 1ShoppingCart website.  They offer a Jump Start services for cart and email marketing to get the ball rolling for your business.

Now that most of the consumers  have internet  connection,  they do a lot of shopping online and if your business has a good business tools and very consumer-friendly, you will get a lot of clients.  I, for one,  prefers to shop online as I  find it very convenient and I also get  good deals  that I don't usually find in the store.   Online shopping saves me money and time as I can do it at the very comfort of my own home.  So if you are a business owner and would love to set  up an online outlet, the said company can help you of the tools that you need to have an efficient shopping tools for your  clients.

Domain Authority

I have no idea what domain authority  means to a blog but out of curiosity  I checked all my blogs and  got these results.  Some advertisers look for this factor when looking for  blogs to put their ads in.

Gun Safe

I was reading some updates on Facebook  and browsed upon the  updates that a friend of mine has posted.  It was about the  politician who   is a long time Anti-Gun Advocate who shot an intruder in his house.  I find it ironic that a Senator who is against  gun ownership actually owns a gun!  How about that!   I bet he owns more than one gun  and keep in his gun safe.    See I don't think gun is the problem of  violence these days.  The real problem  are the nut case individuals who thinks that killing  innocent people is  fun.

With so much  bad things happening  in this world,  you have to think of how you can protect your family.  Having a gun at home isn't a bad thing at all as long as you know why you have it, which is for protection.  Hubby and I goes to my brother-in-law's  property   every summer and practices shooting.      We also  educate our kids the importance of knowing how to protect themselves  if  predators will come their way.

One thing that  I want to get for my husband on our  tenth anniversary is a gun safe.  I hope that I can save for it.

Right now, the snows are melted but it is very windy outdie.  The temperature will drop down and  suppose to snow again tonight.

Motorhomes

We are planning our summer  getaway this summer.    We are considering to visit one of  my closest friends that met through blogging.  We initially thought of going for a road trip but we don't have an RV but then we thought of renting a van but scraped the idea again.  I have seen some used motorhomes for sale online and it reminds me when my  husband almost  buy the  motor home that  my FIL's neighbor was selling.  I opposed to the idea as we do not have  a place to park it.  I know that it would be nice to own one but  the fact that we live in a very busy street and that we do not have a big garage to  park it would be a problem.

Anyhow, there are RV Dealers who are giving   good discount  on used motor homes   If you are looking for one, you should check out the selection at Trade RV website.  They are an Australian based company  that has list of caravans, campertrailers, campervans, and motor homes for sale.  I love the mountain trail campers that they have, it would be a great one to have if you want to explore  during winter times.

Express Care

Last Saturday, while our little Miss  was participating  in a religious retreat, we went to have our car's oil changed at Express Care.  It's a place where you can get an easy fix for your  car.  While sitting in the car waiting for them to  finish their  job, I  looked around and took some snaps.  I saw a fire extinguisher and other products for engines.

There's also a place called EZ Care in the area which catered to human health.

Pregnancy

Whenever  I look at my kids now, I am amazed how fast they are growing.   I can still remember when I was getting so  anxious because I could not get  pregnant.  Hubby actually  researched for options on how  my body could  prepare to get pregnant.  He bought me some pre-pregnancy  vitamins and we also consulted my OB GYNe for the possible things that we could do for me to conceive. We were married   for almost  two years before I finally conceived  with my first one.  It was the most exciting  feeling I've had.  I did not think that I slept that night when I found out that I  finally got pregnant.

It's a great feeling when you are pregnant.  I think that  every woman feels every emotion there is.   It is  advantageous if you have some support group  and resources where you can gather  information about the things that you should know about pregnancy, parenting, and all that  aspects that affects of  being a parent.  Everyday Family is  one of the many resources online where you can find answers to questions that you may have  regarding pregnancy, parenting, and all about family.  So if you ever  have a question in mind and looking for some answers, check out the site through visiting the link I have provided above.  It's a community where you can meet other parents,  find some deals, and  find some helpful tips and advise.

I am so glad that God gave us two wonderful kids.

Puzzle Solver

Each of the Burritos have  multiple  jigzaw puzzles at home.  I like it when they do puzzle as they put their mind to test.   Both of them are good puzzle solver.  I remember when I was growing up, my favorite part of a comic book is the crossword puzzle, but it wasn't hard because it was in our own language and not  English.  I still do  crossword puzzle now but not really good at it as I don't know most of the stuff here in the US.  I highly recommend for parents out there to get  their kids  some jigsaw puzzles, it's a good  past time activity both for parents and kids.

Chrome Wedges

I let my daughter stayed for a while at her Lolo and Loal's house last Friday when I brought my  son to the hospital.  I did not want her to  go with me as I don't want to  take a chance of her  picking up a nasty bug at the doctor's office.  When we came back and I went to get her, her and  Lolo were playing golf inside the house.  Her Lolo was  showing her some golf technique using  his new 588 forged chrome wedges.  That's one of the many things  I love about  this family whom we    treat like  our  own family.  They always  get involve with the kids.  It's either Lola is teaching Ms. Burrito how to cook or Lolo teaching the kids some golf  moves  Lolo love to golf and he can't wait for summer time once again so he could play again.  How about you, have you ever tried playing golf?  I have never experienced doing it but I think that it would be fun. My husband said that it is stressful for him so he did not like it.  I think the problem with my husband of playing golf is his being perfectionist.  He likes to do things  perfectly but you can't do that with sports unless you are a pro or really good at it.

Discover Card

When we had our porch done a couple of years ago, we took a 0% interest loan for twelve months from our bank and when the 0% expired, we transferred the balance to another  0% card which is Discover.  All through the 12-month period, I have been saving for the amount   where I could pay it off when it's 0% expires.

Well, being forgetful that I am, I totally forgot to pay it off last month which is the last month of the zero interest.  Such a bummer that I got  charged with interest for this  month just because  I forgot to do it.  When things like this happen, I just want to pinch myself and say "Dang it, stop being a dummy!"

Oh well, live and learn right?  Anyhow, I paid   it off today ($1,824.57).  I just wish that I did not have to pay the $24.57 interest..sigh.  So that's done and will try not to let that happen again.  Now I can close our account to Discover.  But come to think of it, it's nice also that they made 25 bucks out of us.  I am still grateful that they  gave us a 0% interest for a year.

On the bright side, let me show you this stickers that my daughter got for dominating in the Math contest during their Student's Day.
I hope you guys are having a  fantastic day on this cold winter days.

Airbrush Makeup

I first stumbled about the airbrush for makeup in one of the blogs  that I visited before.  I am not a make-up kind of  woman but out of curiosity, I clicked on the link and saw different kinds of air brushes at Temptu website.  Technology is amazing isn't it, things are getting better and better  everyday.

I think that professional make up artists uses this kind of airbrush makeup  tool.  It looks very  complicated to me, as you know , I don't even know how to use an ordinary make up brush.  Anyhow, with this airbrush makeup, I am sure that  it makes   the job easier for the make up artists.

If you are curious and wants to know more details about this product, I recommend for you to visit the link above so you would see  all the important information that you need to know regarding this  beauty product.  The website also has tutorials on how you could accomplish a star look.  You will learn how to properly apply  a make up.  Make up is something that I have never learn how to do and apply hehehe.  I think I am like my mother who never used any kind of make up at all.

Loudlauch

If you are a blogger like me who writes paid ads in blogs, I am sure that you are familiar with the company Loudlaunch. Loudlaunch is like any other companies online where bloggers and Advertisers connect. I have been a member of this site years ago, wrote a lot of review till my earnings went over $800. They used to pay regularly until they made a change at their site.

With their new system now, new members get paid every Friday for the articles they wrote but unfortunately for an old member like me, our earnings is being paid whenever they wish for $5 a pay. I am very disappointed about their system and wrote them emails many times but nothing happened.

As you can see in the screen shot,  I still have $685 pending and I don't know when their next pay will come through. I accumulated those earnings in the late  months of 2011 and it is 2013 and still has a long way to go before I get paid.  It's frustrating that you work hard for them but they DO NOT compensate you in a timely manner.

For the Loudlaunch team, I hope you read this post.

Portable Heaters

I received our gas bill today and it doubled since the last bill.  We have been having freezing temperature which makes  our heater run all night long.  We have two portable electric heaters that we uses whenever we are in the  basement.  There are different kinds of  gas heaters, electric heaters, oil fired heaters, and many other kind of heaters.  All these heaters are being offered at Equip Supply website.  They also have parts for different kinds.  They are offering a free shipping deals right now for order above $25.  So if you are in the market for a new heater,

I am not fond of Winter, not only because of the high bills for electric and gas but also for the fact that I grew up in a tropics.  It's a hard challenge for me and I am still adjusting to it. Anyhow, back to the heater that I was talking about, few years ago, our heater malfunctioned right when the weather was freezing.  Imagine how I feel that time and not only that, I was worried about my kids.  That's why we bought the portable heaters because  in case of emergencies, we could use it.  It was a money well spent as we use the said heaters most of the time during Winter.

Handmade Cards

I always admire individuals who are very crafty and artistic when it comes to tinkering different stuff. I received different kinds of handmade cards created by a friend of mine, Thanks Momgen! She makes not only cards but jewelry as well. You can view her creations at Handmade Creations, her official online store.

Payday Loans Online

Have you ever tried to apply in one of those online payday loans?  I have never tried  applying for a loan online but with credit cards, I have.  It's a big convenient that we have the Internet technology these days, it gives us  the power to do the things   easier and faster compared to  the system  in the olden days.  You can get an approval in just minutes of your application and you do not have to  endure the long lines in the bank or lending institution.  Not to mention that you can do  this  very discreetly.

At Loans Wire website, you can get a personal loan and get approval in three minutes.  Pretty  quick isn't it?  This is a great option especially if you meet an  immediate need of cash and you do not have a savings for it.  With the economic crunch that   most  of the people is experiencing, companies like  Loans Wire is a great help for individuals who  do not have  enough money to  pay for all the bills or having a hard time  with their budgets.  For more details, check them out through the link I have provided.
