Outdoor Furniture for the Patio

This photo  is the set of wicker furniture that we bought this year. We just had our front porch built last year so we wanted to finish it with a good quality outdoor furniture. It could have been a lot nicer if we bought the outdoor furniture covers that were offered when we bought but I did not have enough money to pay for it. It did however, come with wicker furniture cushions which I really like, so for now we are enjoying our porch with comfortable furniture. A good outdoor furniture is essential, especially if you love to entertain friends during summer time. My husband is talking me into replacing our existing back porch and build a sun porch instead. That's a very good idea for future project but not now just now. I would like to pay off our debt first before getting another loan. Maybe when he has another job and we can afford to pay monthly dues. Right now, the money is tight and I have to really stay on track with our budget so everything goes smoothly!

Gardening with Kids

Both of my kids love to help me in the garden. I can't work there without them wanting to help, which is great.
Our neighbor gave them a set of  gardening tools (hoe, rake, shovel, and a matic   Our neighbor also gave me some peppers and tomatoes to plant, thanks Ruth and Don.
Most of the time,  Mr. Burrito's job is to catch a bug or collect the worms.

Popcorn machines for home movies

Watching the cooking shows all the time, gives my daughter so many ideas about "must have" things in the kitchen. She has this long lists of kitchen gadgets that she wants to have in our kitchen and one of them is a pop corn machine. We love popcorn for snacks when we are watching our favorite shows on TV and although you can buy these packages of ready-to-pop- in the microwave popcorn, my daughter still want to experience how to pop those corn kernels in the popcorn machines. One day I was explaining to her that we don't really need a popcorn machine but she said that it would be nice to have one, which I agree.. somehow.. lol. See, my sister in law has one, so my daughter has this notion that popping those corn kernels in a popcorn machine is much more enjoyable that putting a package into a microwave. Oh boy, hearing a 6 year old kid reasoning out things has taken me aback sometimes. I think that my little girl is growing up too fast, maybe? I feel like she is slipping slowly from my hands - lol. I am having separation anxiety too soon for my kids. I guess this is the problem when you get too attached when raising your kids that everything revolves around them. You tend to forget the possibilities of the future.

Wireless doorbells

Do you have a wireless doorbell in your home? Our door bell at home is a little outdated, we have the old style type. This would be something to consider to update in the future as a project for our home. For now, it is still working so it will remains as the one that we are going to use as long as it serves the purpose. But anyhow, if you are looking for any type of doorbell, wirelessdoorbellstore.com has it all. They have a different selection of doorbells at prices you can not beat. Technology has evolved in so many creative ways that it gives the consumer the ability to relax and enjoy the convenience of having different gadgets that they can use in their everyday life. Whenever I look back on my life then, and look at my life now, it makes me smile because before I never liked cooking as you have to battle with so many manual ways of doing stuff. I love cooking now because I have kitchen gadgets that makes my cooking a lot easier and faster. It is more enjoyable than making a fire out of firewood and chopping your ingredients. Now I can cook without tears in my eyes because I have an awesome stove unlike then.

Rustic Old Steel Mill

Here are some of my drive-by shot of the rustic old steel mill in Weirton.  Some buildings are  rusty as  they are not operating anymore but some are are still  in operation.
Just a short  glimpse of what  you would see in Weirton.

Cool vests

The weather is still cooler from over here, our side of the world which is nice because we are not using too much electric power to heat. We get to sleep with open windows during the night time which allows the fresh air to come through our house and give us a cool and lovely, sound sleep. I am wondering if we will have an intense summer of heat because we have had such a mellow winter, and also because we have had a long cool spring weather. Thinking of the potential heat, it occurs to me that a Cool Vest will be a good thing to have through this coming summer time as you can enjoy the heat of the sun and still feel refreshed when you are outside.

There is a huge selection of Cool Vests at friendsofwater.com where you can browse, enjoy and shop. They also have different kinds of products that you would enjoy during the summer time, like fluoride filters, garden filters and sprinklers, shower and water filters, radiation water filters and more. I like their selection of women's Cool Vests, they are stylish and I love the color choices. I think that their color alone would make you feel cooler even under the scourging heat of the sun as their colors are fabulous, reflecting the sun exactly the way they should. Find out more about their products by visiting any of the links provided above. Have fun browsing!

Bosom of the Earth

The first thing I do when I walk out our door to the backyard, I go to my rose bush and savor the  fragrance of my yellow rose.  They are now in full bloom and there's lots of them!
"A rose is the visible result of an infinitude of complicated goings on in the bosom of the earth and in the air above, and similarly a work of art is the product of strange activities in the human mind."

High Quality Working Shoes

My husband used to have a pair of wolverine boots that he uses for work.   Now that he is retired, he  put it away.  Wolverine boots are  a good quality working shoes, hubby had his for years and still in great condition til now.  The price that he paid is really worth the quality and durability  that the shoes has.   Does anyone  owns these kind of working shoes?  What is your experience in using the said product?

Cicada

We saw this cicada at a mailbox at the neighborhood.

Here's  some info from Wikipedia about the cicada.

A cicada (/sɪˈkeɪdə/ or /sɪˈkɑːdə/) is an insect of the order Hemiptera, suborder Auchenorrhyncha (which was formerly included in the now invalid order Homoptera), in the superfamily Cicadoidea, with large eyes wide apart on the head and usually transparent, well-veined wings. There are about 2,500 species of cicada around the world, and many of them remain unclassified. Cicadas live in temperate to tropical climates where they are among the most widely recognized of all insects, mainly due to their large size and unique sound. Cicadas are often colloquially called locusts,[1] although they are unrelated to true locusts, which are a kind of grasshopper. Cicadas are related to leafhoppers and spittlebugs.

Rich Tulips

I see someone hiding behind the tulips. Hmmnn, who could that be?  Are you peeping Tom?  Kidding here folks.
I find this tulips very unusual because my sister-in-law grew these beauties in the Jar with just water in it.  They bloomed beautifully with rich colors I have seen in a tulip.
May the color of the tulips brighten your day!

Okay Guys let's have some brain work here and have a little fun while blogging.  Be honest in answering the questions and tell me how you did.  I screwed up at the math quiz and I can't believe that I messed it up hehehe..  I previously posted this in my other blog three years ago and would like to repost it for the letter Q of  ABC Wednesday .   I added some photos  to inspire you in answering the questions.  The photos were taken when we were still in  South Korea.
Below are four ( 4 ) questions and a Bonus question to test your perception, reasoning and the quickness of your logical processing. They are stated simply so you should try to answer them instantly. To assure the accuracy of the results, you should not take your time , but instead, answer each of them immediately . OK? Let's find out just how clever you really are.... . Ready? GO!!! (scroll down slowly to uncover Q's and A's )

First Question : Y ou are a participant in a race. You overtake the second person. What position are you in?
Answer : If you answered that you are first, then you are absolutely WRONG! If you overtake the second person and you take his place, YOU are in second place! Try not to screw up next time. Now answer the second question, but don't take as much time as you took for the first question, OK?

Second Question : I f you overtake the last person, then you are...? (scroll down)Answer : If you answered that you are second to last, then you are ; ; ; ;WRONG again. Tell me Sunshine, how can you overtake the LAST person?? You're not very good at this, are you?

Third Question : V ery tricky arithmetic! Note: This must be done in your head only. Do NOT use paper and pencil or a calculator . Try it. Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000 Now add 30 . Add another 1000 . Now add 20 . Now add another 1000 . Now add 10 . What is the total? Scroll down for the correct answer.....Did you get 5000 ? The correct answer is actually 4100 . If you don't believe it, check it with a calculator! Today is definitely not your day, is it ? Maybe you'll get the last question right... Maybe...

Fourth Question : Mary's father has five daughters: 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3. Nini, 4. Nono, and ??? What is the name of the fifth daughter?
Did you Answer Nunu? NO! Of course it isn't. Her name is Mary you retard! Read the question again!

Okay, now the Bonus round, i.e., a final chance to redeem yourself: A mute person goes into a shop and wants to buy a toothbrush. By imitating the action of brushing his teeth he successfully expresses himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is done. Next, a blind man comes into the shop who wants to buy a pair of sunglasses; how does HE indicate what he wants? It's really very simple He opens his mouth and ask for it... Does your employer actually pay you to think?? If so Do NOT let them see your answers for this test!
So how did you do?  Be honest, lol!

PASS THIS ON TO FRUSTRATE THE SMART PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE!
