Gift Baskets

In just few more weeks, Christmas is here. Are you guys done with your shopping spree? I haven't started yet, or should I say, I won't start at all because I don't have moolah lol. Anyhow, would you consider unique gift basketsto give out this holiday season? I have never tried giving a gift basket to someone but I think that it's a nice thing to give to friends and families on different occasions.

There are so many gift basket ideas you can find online especially at Mrs. Fields' website. There are birthday gift baskets and other thank you gift basket sets that you can buy at the said website. If you are a sweet tooth, you will certainly love Mrs. Field's selection. They have different kinds of cookies and other sweet treats.

My in-laws would certainly love this place as they are all sweet tooth. They are my daughter's costumer whenever the school is giving the fund raising for the certain company every year. Speaking of which, we will be getting the chocolates next wee k so we can deliver it to individuals who ordered from us. I thank our neighbors who ordered a bunch of them. Our neighbors are awesome!

Trio

These are the three shots that I took when Bumble visited  my FIL's house and we  also visited him.  The Burritos were thrilled to see  Bumble Bee.  We all miss this cutipie, too bad, I could no longer watch her as I am teaching my son at home in preparation of  his kindergarten  class in school next year.
We only see Bumble Bee at church although they live nearby.
But anyhow, here is  the TRIO lovelies.  I just noTiced, these three  tilted  their head in the same direction lol.
Wishing you guys a lovely week.

iPod Shuffle Reward

I have been saving all my credits/rewards at the online survey site that I  regularly participates in.  My points qualifies me for an ipod shuffle but I want to  reach the max points for  a $100.00 cash.  I still need like 7,000 + points  but I'll wait so I can redeem the reward that I like.  Anyhow, if you are looking forward to buying an ipod shuffle 2gb, check out the deals online.

Bare

Bare tree against gloomy sky makes me sad sometimes.  But since it is Thanksgiving Day, I am grateful that God blesses me the capacity to see everything around me everyday!

Consult Michael Pines with Personal Injury Case

If you are dealing with some personal injury case  at the moment and  looking for a  good lawyer to handle your case, consult Michael Pines.  You can find Michael Pines  in Facebook, just click  his name on this post with the link on it.  Dealing with legal stuff is critical that is why  you need a capable and reputable  legal services like the above mentioned lawyer.

Daisy

I brought my daisy inside the house because I didn't want it to die this winter. This is a memorable plant as my FIL gave it to me during my birthday last year.
I saved this plant  from Winter last year by bringing her inside and I am glad she survived.
I am hoping that  she would  continue to live for a long time.
As you can see the leaves are turning  yellow due to lack of sunlight.  I was surprised  to see  two flowers has blossomed   weeks after I brought it in.

Accountancy Tracking Software

Thanksgiving break gave my husband nine days off from going to school.  However, he  spent some time to review about his upcoming  test in accounting and tax subjects.  I can tell that my husband is getting  wore out going back and forth to school but  he needs to get it done if he wants to really work in this  filed.  I hope that he could knock this out  real soon.

Technology nowadays really gives businesses an advantage  to track their  accountancy  activities online through using an innovative software.  There are also online companies that offers new outsourced accounts service such as  Accounts Department Online.  You can check out the outsourced accounting solution services that offer by visiting  www.accountsdo.com .  With their services, you would be able to access your accounting information anytime.  This is a great idea to those business owners who are  traveling always.

Pine Cones

Our Burritos always wants to have a place of their own even on holiday decorations so we put their Christmas stuffed toys in our hallway.
I assembled these basket with Christmas candles and filled it with the pine cones that I painted   few years ago.  My sister-in-law gave me some pine cones and she also lent me  her  glitters and paints.
We used to put these Christmas candles at our windows but I decided to put it in the middle of the  basket of pine cones this time.
I think it turned out well.

Christmas Accents

I took some shots of the flowers at Lowe's when we went there last weekend. I was tempted to buy with their reduced plants but I have so many indoor plants already so I passed.  I think that  Anthurium flowers are  gorgeous!  Not sure what the other flower is called.  I think these two are great for Christmas accents.

A Time Out with Friends

A Guest Post from Ally Santos

Spending quality time with your loved ones is very important. With the holiday season just around the corner, I’m quite excited to get together with my family and friends. Christmas is one occasion that I always look forward to because it only means more quality to spend with the people I treasure. As busy schedules don’t often permit us to meet often, we always try to find time just to check on each other and stay updated.

This year, my friends and I are planning to do something different. Being busy and away doesn’t necessarily have to mean forgetting about friendships so we have to decided to find a way on how we can manage to enjoy and have fun even if we are physically apart from each other. Good thing all of us share a common interest so finding an activity becomes easy. Right now, I am looking at several online casino gambling sites that offer the same experience as if you are right at Las Vegas. I think this is one activity that everyone will enjoy. There is no need to be sitting right next to each other in front of the betting table as we can play comfortably right at home.

Bonding times with friends should always be fun and memorable. If you are planning to have one, always make sure to consider the hobbies and interests of everyone. Add a little adventure or a taste of a new experience where each one could learn and appreciate something new.

Black and Yellow Argiope

My husband is terrified with any kinds of spiders so whenever I see one in the garden, I always get it and give it to him lol.
I searched  the name of this one on the Internet and this is called Black and Yellow Argiope (Argiope Aurantia), a common orb web spider.
I grew up in a farm and garden  spiders were  one of the things that entertained us  so I am not scared of it.  Of course it depends on a spider lol, I won't mess  with  tarantula or any wicked spider  spiders that you see in  TV

Cute Mobile

My husband and I were looking for the black Friday deals  on cellphone at different website a  little while ago.  We been shopping around  for a good family plan on cellphone because we are planning to  end his  current contract with Verizon.  We still can't decide whether we  will get  each of us an iPhone or  the Droid.  We will see what we'll end up with at the end of this month.  Meanwhile, while browsing  the deals, we also stumbled  My Cute Mobile website that sells different kinds of  cell phone cover and other cell phone accessories.  I like their selection of iPad covers.  Since hubby's iPad's case has his school's logo, I might  replaced it with a chic design such as the Pink Plaid iPad Apple Snap-On Cover below.  Hubby never uses it so mind as well  personalize it according to my liking hehehe.

Shoes

Santa (hubby) gave us an early presents.  He bought each  of shoes a pair of shoes.  Me and Ms. Burrito   got a pair of boots and Mr. Burrito got a new pair of tennis shoes.
Ms. Burrito is  growing up fast, the more she grew older, lots of attitude I have to deal with too.    I don't let it slip away though, it's better to tell  them what they  are doing wrong than to ignore it because it gets worse.

On the other note, I redeemed  my rewards for  reading  email newsletter from mypoints, a website where I am a member for  almost 4 years now.  This is my way of getting an extra shopping  spree  for  Christmas.  Shoot me an email if you want to join, it's free ( no string attached) just pure rewards.  PS.. This is good for US residents only.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Comedy Special

This post brought to you by American Family Insurance. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you ever watched one of the videos that AmFam has about these  group of  hilarious and talented  stand up comedian like Rodney Perry, Tony Vierra and others? Oh gosh, they really cracks me up every time I watch some of the videos that I like.  I specifically like the I ain't Going Nowhere that Rodney Perry did.  Thumbs up for the American Family Insurance for hosting this comedy special as it brings  a fun time boding  for the whole family.    In the kind of world where high tech gadget is the main communication, sometimes family members just talk to each other through cell phone and forget the importance of  talking and laughing together.  The togetherness of the family is starting to fade away especially for those  whose working two or three jobs in order to make both ends meet.

The Stand Up For Family comedy special is a very good show  for the whole family to watch.  This would surely bring  laughter   which is a good thing especially if you want to  sit and relax and  forget   some concerns that's going on  for a while.  To see some of the videos that I am talking about, just visit any of the link provided on this post.

Blue Shrimp

We went to the pet shop last weekend and the kids were mesmerized by this  blue shrimp (not sure if it is a shrimp lol).
Who wouldn't be captivated by this pretty shrimp  that seemed to  show off on us while we were watching him.

Market Day

The next Market Day in school will be on the first day of December.  The school hosts this  market  day  to sell  products from a company  that give the school  some percentage of what the school have sold.  This helps defray some cost in the school like  buying  white board s and other  things that students need but cannot covered by their tuition fee.  It's a good project in my opinion.  Volunteer parents   manages the sale and  most of the clients are families of the students.  I haven't  volunteer yet but I've seen their set up using trade show flooring and trade show carpet.

I think that next year when my son starts going to school too, I will have time to  do volunteer work in school.  I like the   logo mats that the school uses, they have a pretty neat Spartan design.  If I can remember correctly, they used a    logo canopy when they had their Christmas play last year.  It's really nice to find school such as the one  where my daughter  goes to because the   population is small  so everybody knows everybody..

Fruit Trees

I grew up in a tropical island in the Philippines where bamboo plants are a common sight. Most of the houses in my place uses bamboo for a lot of things especially in building their nipa hut and other stuff. I remember when one of the strongest typhoon hit us, our home was washed away by a tidal wave so we built a small shanty and we relied for the bamboos to make our shelter. Most of the fruit trees during that storm was all torn down and all the young fruits were wasted.

But anyhow, when I came here I was amazed how other homes have fruit trees full of fruits but they don't pick them. They let the fruit fall on the ground which I feel so bad because there is no such thing in my country. We never waste any food at all.

When we bought our house, there is two apple trees at our backyard, one is ornamental and one is edible. We had so many fruits last year and my SIL made some apple pie out of it. This year however, it did not bore any fruits. I think we have to tear it don because it looks like it has some disease on the tree. I found different kinds of fruit trees at Willis Orchard Co. online and maybe next year, we can replace the apple tree at the back.

Deer Watching

Every time we visit my FIL, we always drive by the Power House going home. It is our favorite route because we get to see some deer. Let us see if you can find the buck on the first picture.  You can enlarge it by clicking the photo/s.
On the second photo, there is also a Mommy deer if you look closely.  My main subject on these photos is the sky and  not the deer though.  But still, you can see them in the background if you look closely.
I'll post the photos of the deer next time.

Who's the Cutest of them All?

This post brought to you by Puppies vs. Babies. All opinions are 100% mine.

PvB-CuteDar-Green-300x250-Backup.jpgOh man, a very  lucky pup or baby would walk away with a  large amount  amounting to $5,000.00 as a prize for the Puppies vs. Babies online contest. Are you aware of this contest?  I  did not came across this contest until a couple of days ago so it is too late to make an entry hehehe.  I did  cast my voted tough and  our our  bet goes to a baby named Noelle.  She looks  like a doll so she won as our darling.  Anyhow, you can  also  voice out your opinion through  checking out the entries and vote for the  pup of baby that you like. Please tell me who you voted for okay?
Puppies vs. Babies contest will surely melt your heart if you see all the entries on this contest.  All of them possesses personality that  would capture your  attention.  But anyhow, sharing you some of the photos of my kids with  fur babies.  I think that kids and  family pets just blend very well.    They each have  in them that compliments each other which is vital to their growth.  How about you, do you own a pet?  If not, would you consider one?

Insure your RV

An rv insurance is a must if you own a recreational vehicle.  I think that  it is a separate insurance  that you have to get   aside from your car.  Having an RV is nice  because when you want to go for a short getaway, it is cheaper and you have the flexibility to go wherever and whenever you want to.  That is one of  my husband's  long term goal hehehe.

Radio Controlled Cars

Guest Post by Robert Lobitz

There are hundreds of types of Radio Controlled or RC cars available and when you take into account purchasing online from manufacturers around the world, your selection is limitless. One of the first considerations is size. These are the mini and micro RC cars that can be found at stores like Big 5, Toys R Us and Target. They are the cheapest way to get started in the hobby and are great for kids and playing inside your home or garage.

The 1/10 Kyosho Fazer (Porsche 911)

Next up in size would be the popular 1:10 scale category. For on-road touring cars, Tamiya is a very popular company and their Expert Built (XB) series is good for beginners. The 1/10 Kyosho Fazer chassis is one of the cheapest and since it is gas powered, it makes for a fairly fast RC car at speeds of 40 mph out of the box. It comes with either an Aston Martin or Porsche 911 body and could cost about $250.

Inside a 1/10 Scale Electric HPI

More advanced hobbyist purchase 1:8, 1:12 or 1:18 scale cars. Some of the more popular brands are Traxxas, Nikko, Losi, Tamiya and HPI. While some like the ease of Ready-to-Run (RTR) RC cars, since you can take them out of the box, charge them and get them going, other hobbyists enjoy purchasing parts and constructing their own custom car. For those more mechanically inclined, aftermarket products can improve speed, power, suspension and people enjoy making their own unique designs.

The Traxxas Ken Block Ford Fiesta 1:16 Scale

RC car enthusiasts debate whether electric or gas powered cars are better. There are fast RC cars in either category such as the Traxxas Ken Block Ford Fiesta (electric) and the Associated Nitro TC3 (modified) that could go up to 50 mph. While the fastest RC cars on record are electric, gas powered cars are the fastest racing cars in lap races lasting 30 to 60 minutes.

The fastest RC gas cars to hit the higher end of the radio controlled car racing circuit and capable of 60 mph and over, include the CEN CT4-S, OFNA OB4 and Traxxas Nitro 4-Tec. The CEN CT4-S is recommended as the best buy in this segment as it can reach 73.4 mph. It has as bigger engine and is cheaper.
