Trio

These are the three shots that I took when Bumble visited  my FIL's house and we  also visited him.  The Burritos were thrilled to see  Bumble Bee.  We all miss this cutipie, too bad, I could no longer watch her as I am teaching my son at home in preparation of  his kindergarten  class in school next year.
We only see Bumble Bee at church although they live nearby.
But anyhow, here is  the TRIO lovelies.  I just noTiced, these three  tilted  their head in the same direction lol.
Wishing you guys a lovely week.

The Sleeping Lion

Lion King was having a little siesta and taking a nap when our safari ride passed by.  Photo was taken in Animal Kingdom, Disney World..

iPod Shuffle Reward

I have been saving all my credits/rewards at the online survey site that I  regularly participates in.  My points qualifies me for an ipod shuffle but I want to  reach the max points for  a $100.00 cash.  I still need like 7,000 + points  but I'll wait so I can redeem the reward that I like.  Anyhow, if you are looking forward to buying an ipod shuffle 2gb, check out the deals online.

Bare

Bare tree against gloomy sky makes me sad sometimes.  But since it is Thanksgiving Day, I am grateful that God blesses me the capacity to see everything around me everyday!

Daisy

I brought my daisy inside the house because I didn't want it to die this winter. This is a memorable plant as my FIL gave it to me during my birthday last year.
I saved this plant  from Winter last year by bringing her inside and I am glad she survived.
I am hoping that  she would  continue to live for a long time.
As you can see the leaves are turning  yellow due to lack of sunlight.  I was surprised  to see  two flowers has blossomed   weeks after I brought it in.

Pine Cones

Our Burritos always wants to have a place of their own even on holiday decorations so we put their Christmas stuffed toys in our hallway.
I assembled these basket with Christmas candles and filled it with the pine cones that I painted   few years ago.  My sister-in-law gave me some pine cones and she also lent me  her  glitters and paints.
We used to put these Christmas candles at our windows but I decided to put it in the middle of the  basket of pine cones this time.
I think it turned out well.
What do you think?

Christmas Accents

I took some shots of the flowers at Lowe's when we went there last weekend. I was tempted to buy with their reduced plants but I have so many indoor plants already so I passed.  I think that  Anthurium flowers are  gorgeous!  Not sure what the other flower is called.  I think these two are great for Christmas accents.
Link us your favorite color with Color Connection every Friday!

Black and Yellow Argiope

My husband is terrified with any kinds of spiders so whenever I see one in the garden, I always get it and give it to him lol.
I searched  the name of this one on the Internet and this is called Black and Yellow Argiope (Argiope Aurantia), a common orb web spider.
I grew up in a farm and garden  spiders were  one of the things that entertained us  so I am not scared of it.  Of course it depends on a spider lol, I won't mess  with  tarantula or any wicked spider  spiders that you see in  TV

Cute Mobile

My husband and I were looking for the black Friday deals  on cellphone at different website a  little while ago.  We been shopping around  for a good family plan on cellphone because we are planning to  end his  current contract with Verizon.  We still can't decide whether we  will get  each of us an iPhone or  the Droid.  We will see what we'll end up with at the end of this month.  Meanwhile, while browsing  the deals, we also stumbled  My Cute Mobile website that sells different kinds of  cell phone cover and other cell phone accessories.  I like their selection of iPad covers.  Since hubby's iPad's case has his school's logo, I might  replaced it with a chic design such as the Pink Plaid iPad Apple Snap-On Cover below.  Hubby never uses it so mind as well  personalize it according to my liking hehehe.

Shoes

Santa (hubby) gave us an early presents.  He bought each  of shoes a pair of shoes.  Me and Ms. Burrito   got a pair of boots and Mr. Burrito got a new pair of tennis shoes.
Ms. Burrito is  growing up fast, the more she grew older, lots of attitude I have to deal with too.    I don't let it slip away though, it's better to tell  them what they  are doing wrong than to ignore it because it gets worse.

On the other note, I redeemed  my rewards for  reading  email newsletter from mypoints, a website where I am a member for  almost 4 years now.  This is my way of getting an extra shopping  spree  for  Christmas.  Shoot me an email if you want to join, it's free ( no string attached) just pure rewards.  PS.. This is good for US residents only.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Who wouldn't be captivated by this pretty shrimp  that seemed to  show off on us while we were watching him.

Market Day

The next Market Day in school will be on the first day of December.  The school hosts this  market  day  to sell  products from a company  that give the school  some percentage of what the school have sold.  This helps defray some cost in the school like  buying  white board s and other  things that students need but cannot covered by their tuition fee.  It's a good project in my opinion.  Volunteer parents   manages the sale and  most of the clients are families of the students.

I think that next year when my son starts going to school too, I will have time to  do volunteer work in school.  I like the logo that the school uses, they have a pretty neat Spartan design.  If I can remember correctly, they used a  logo canopy when they had their Christmas play last year.  It's really nice to find school such as the one  where my daughter  goes to because the   population is small  so everybody knows everybody..

Fruit Trees

I grew up in a tropical island in the Philippines where bamboo plants are a common sight. Most of the houses in my place uses bamboo for a lot of things especially in building their nipa hut and other stuff. I remember when one of the strongest typhoon hit us, our home was washed away by a tidal wave so we built a small shanty and we relied for the bamboos to make our shelter. Most of the fruit trees during that storm was all torn down and all the young fruits were wasted.

But anyhow, when I came here I was amazed how other homes have fruit trees full of fruits but they don't pick them. They let the fruit fall on the ground which I feel so bad because there is no such thing in my country. We never waste any food at all.

When we bought our house, there is two apple trees at our backyard, one is ornamental and one is edible. We had so many fruits last year and my SIL made some apple pie out of it. This year however, it did not bore any fruits. I think we have to tear it don because it looks like it has some disease on the tree. I found different kinds of fruit trees at Willis Orchard Co. online and maybe next year, we can replace the apple tree at the back.

Deer Watching

Every time we visit my FIL, we always drive by the Power House going home. It is our favorite route because we get to see some deer. Let us see if you can find the buck on the first picture.  You can enlarge it by clicking the photo/s.
On the second photo, there is also a Mommy deer if you look closely.  My main subject on these photos is the sky and  not the deer though.  But still, you can see them in the background if you look closely.
I'll post the photos of the deer next time.

Are you aware of this contest?  I  did not came across this contest until a couple of days ago so it is too late to make an entry hehehe.  I did  cast my voted tough and  our our  bet goes to a baby named Noelle.  She looks  like a doll so she won as our darling.  Anyhow, you can  also  voice out your opinion through  checking out the entries and vote for the  pup of baby that you like. Radio Controlled Cars

Guest Post by Robert Lobitz

There are hundreds of types of Radio Controlled or RC cars available and when you take into account purchasing online from manufacturers around the world, your selection is limitless. One of the first considerations is size. These are the mini and micro RC cars that can be found at stores like Big 5, Toys R Us and Target. They are the cheapest way to get started in the hobby and are great for kids and playing inside your home or garage.

The 1/10 Kyosho Fazer (Porsche 911)

Next up in size would be the popular 1:10 scale category. For on-road touring cars, Tamiya is a very popular company and their Expert Built (XB) series is good for beginners. The 1/10 Kyosho Fazer chassis is one of the cheapest and since it is gas powered, it makes for a fairly fast RC car at speeds of 40 mph out of the box. It comes with either an Aston Martin or Porsche 911 body and could cost about $250.

Inside a 1/10 Scale Electric HPI

More advanced hobbyist purchase 1:8, 1:12 or 1:18 scale cars. Some of the more popular brands are Traxxas, Nikko, Losi, Tamiya and HPI. While some like the ease of Ready-to-Run (RTR) RC cars, since you can take them out of the box, charge them and get them going, other hobbyists enjoy purchasing parts and constructing their own custom car. For those more mechanically inclined, aftermarket products can improve speed, power, suspension and people enjoy making their own unique designs.

The Traxxas Ken Block Ford Fiesta 1:16 Scale

RC car enthusiasts debate whether electric or gas powered cars are better. There are fast RC cars in either category such as the Traxxas Ken Block Ford Fiesta (electric) and the Associated Nitro TC3 (modified) that could go up to 50 mph. While the fastest RC cars on record are electric, gas powered cars are the fastest racing cars in lap races lasting 30 to 60 minutes.

The fastest RC gas cars to hit the higher end of the radio controlled car racing circuit and capable of 60 mph and over, include the CEN CT4-S, OFNA OB4 and Traxxas Nitro 4-Tec. The CEN CT4-S is recommended as the best buy in this segment as it can reach 73.4 mph. It has as bigger engine and is cheaper.

Arts from the Leaves Shadows

Okay guys, let your imagination play with these shadows I have captured when went to Marland Heights Tennis Court a couple of days ago.  I was  doing my rounds brisk walking when I noticed some of the neat shadows that leaves  creates.
Don't this look like a bird flying?
This one looks like an elongated  head of a pig.
This one looks like a critter too but I can't tell what it is.
Some more  neat shadows.. Tell me what you see in them.
This one looks like a dragon.
This one looks like a kitty cat.
Alrighty, I express what I see in those images, let me know what you think of those shadows.
