Water Problem

I am not sure if the water problem in Weirton is really fixed. Once in a while when we go for a walk, there are water flowing everywhere just like this one at Marland Heights.  Pictures are taken a  week ago.

DIY Project

Our porch renovation is  about 40%  done.  I hope that they would  finish the  job before  the  cold weather rolls in so we could still use it.  We still have DIY projects coming up such as  kitchen improvement.  Hubby is already looking at different kinds of Undermount Sinks.  We want to replace our existing sink with an Undermount Sink.  This project might be realized next year but I am not sure.  Meanwhile, hubby is already  looking at things that he needs so we would know the approximate cost that we need to save for our upcoming DIY project.

Grape Cherry Tomatoes

Grape cherry tomatoes given to us by our neighbor a couple of weeks ago.  I have three kinds of cherry tomatoes in my garden and I have been picking them almost everyday as they are ripening up fast.

We have so many bumble bees buzzing around our garden. I never saw that many before till I planted flowers in our backyard.

Freedom isn't Free

We went to Donut connection after church last Sunday. Our son behaved so well during the mass so we gave them a little sweet treat!  Outside the building, you will see this big  sign board.

It was raining here last Sunday so the first Foto  is "wet".  I took from inside the car while waiting for the rain tostop.  

When we came out the stablishment, it stopped raining so I took a clear  photo of the sign.

Checks

We ordered some checks a couple of months ago as we ran out of stock. My husband would like to order the personalized ones but it was way too pricey so we settled for the plain ones and we just paid for the shipping. I can't believe how much they charge for the little add-on that they put on your check.

I do however find some personal checks and photo checks over at carouselchecks.com and I was surprised that the price isn't as high as the one where we got our plain ones. At least now I know where to get photo checks when we run out of these ones that we just ordered.

The Magic Of Disney Animation

One of the many attractions that we did not get to see is the Magic of Disney animation. We did not have enough time to get inside as the lines were long.

Certified Public Accountants

My husband  will be graduating from his Accounting  course next year.  He is thinking  on whether or not to take the  licensure examination as it is a hard   exam to pass.  I believe that he  take the test, he would pass because I know that he won't just sit there in one corner doing nothing for preparation.  He does a lot of review whenever he has  test in school so I am sure that he would   exert extra effort to study for that big test.  I hope that he would take it..  He has still  one year left to decide so I am not worried about it.  

For the meantime, he is already browsing for some places where he could find a job.  One of the companies that popped out is the list of    NY CPA Firms.  He is also looking at government jobs as he has preference  for being a military veteran.  Forensic Accountants in New York would be an interesting job  for him.  I hope that  he could l land a good job after he is done with his degree.    His retirement is enough for us to live on but  our financial need will increase as  the kids grow up.  It would be great if my husband could be  one of the certified public accountants in the future.  

Flooring Tools

My husband can not take it anymore, he is actually helping the construction team do their job now. He can't just watch them work, he really want to have the project done as soon as possible so we could still at least use the porch before the cold season rolls in.

I remember when we were renovating our basement, he would still work at the end of the day even he was so tired from his work. My husband is a hardworking man, I guess the Navy trained him that way. He wants things done in a fast pace. Anyhow, before we renovated our basement floor, he was planning to just hire somebody to do some concrete floor polishing but Dad advised him that it's better to just replace the old one.

My father -in-law helped my husband in busting the old flooring. He rented floor grinders that they used in removing the old ones. There's a company that does floor removal but since my husband love to do DIY projects like that, he just did it. Wishing for a Bigger Window

The construction  men that are building our front porch are now making progress in laying down the blocks for its foundation.  I hope that it would be  sunny tomorrow so their work won't be disrupted just like yesterday.  One thing that I like about this house although it's a little bit old already is the fact that it's built with brick.  I think that brick houses cost less when it comes to the wall maintenance.  

But of course, if you decide to  put sidings  on top of the brick, you can still do that.  There are companies that can do those kind of project  for you just like the services that  siding New Jersey offers.  As I have said, our house was built in the early 50's so most of its interior and exterior  parts are getting wore out.  We still have so many plans in line for home improvement but money is the  issue hehehe.  How I wish we could afford to  hire replacement windows new jersey because we  love to have a big picture window at our living room.  I guess, we just have to save for it to make it realize.  Right now, I am just on a wishful thinking mood and hoping that my dream will come true someday.  Someone has to pinch me please lol.

These are some of the pretty things that you see when you ride the magical trip to spectacular journey into the movies. The tour guide that was with us actually participated to the play that's being shown while the journey was in progress.

When I was single, I prayed that God will give me a partner that is tall so that our kids will be taller than me.  But God said "You do not need a tall one, instead I'll give you the perfect one!"  My husband is not very tall  but not short either so he is perfect.  God is amazing isn't it? He truly knows what we need and who the perfect one for us to be with.  I am thankful that He gave me a responsible and loving  husband, I couldn't ask for more!  It's not the height but the sense of responsibility and characters inside that matters, would you agree?

Engineering Flooring

When my husband laid the engineered oak flooring at our basement, it was a great decision because the kids love to play it there. The other half of our basement's floor is tiles which my husband also put in.  My husband learned  doing those DIYs project by watching some videos online on how to do it. The old flooring  that was in our basement were those old asbestos tiles that's why we decided to  replaced it.

Baseball

The theme for this week's Mommy Moment is Sports. My kids really are an outdoor people.  It drives them  crazy when they can't  go out.

One of the sports that  the kids and I plays in our backyard is  baseball.

It's not really a real baseball set but a toy one.  I got this dora  set  as a reward when they are both  still using  diapers.  

Even our doggie Champ wants to participate every time we play.

Uh-oh Mr. Burrito missed that one lol.

He was telling me here "Mom, please don't pitch the ball too high!"

Ate said "It's my turn to bat."

Okay Mom, get ready to catch it.
