The situation back then is way different than now.  Before, everybody knows everybody in the neighborhood. These days however, some people just want to be bothered and just want to live and do their own thing.  Gone are the days where everyone says Hello to everybody. Hence the security is changed too.   It will take you sometime to trust someone.

The Joy of Being a Parent

Having two very energetic kids is a joy and exhausting at the same time. The exhaustion however is always overshadowed by the joy you feel when you see them laughing and giving you hugs and kisses and tell you that they love you.  The joy of being a parent is magical.

Sometimes, you wish that they won't grow up, that they could just stay as young as they are  for us to cuddle and hug all the time.

I read a local newspaper the other day and  found out that there are a group of  guys who are  going door to door and robbing people  off.  They are pretending like they are selling some kind of cleaner and when the homeowner let them in, they would point a gun  on them. It is sad because most of the victims are old folks. Dead Critters

If you ca still remember, I have featured "the Grinny" that my father-in-law had in his porch. We visited there that night  and I saw the Grinny  in the middle of the road in front of my FIL's yard, dead. Somebody hit him hard.  He was just a  chipmunks but we were all saddened with his death because he was Dad's pet.  My FIL scooped him up and buried him at the back of his house.

We also saw this dead bird on the  road when we went for a walk.

I apologized for these depressing photos folks.  I don't want to ruin your day but I just had to share it here.

I have been reading articles about the SMC or the Specialty Merchandise Corporation for that past couple of months and most of them  focuses mainly on  the benefits and advantages.  Last night however, I have read one article on a blog that says that SMC Corp is a scam.  So I investigate further to seek for the truth about the details on why the said author call this huge company  a scam.  

SMC  is a company that offers business opportunity for individuals who are willing to run their own business through them.  Now, from own point of view, if you want to  work with SM, you have to exert extra effort in order to become a good seller of the product that they offer.  Signing up will not  assure you of  good income if you won't do your part as a seller.  I am sure that if you are dedicated  in reaching your goal as a seller, you won't say words like SMC ripoff.  With your  dedication and hard work, you will succeed in any venture that you do.

Poppies

We went for a family walk the other day to give all of us some exercise while enjoying the beauty of the environment. We passed by this house with pretty poppies blooms in their yard and I couldn't resist not to take a few snaps.

Invitations

There were 17 in  my daughter's class and every birthday celebrant in her class always sent their classmates an invitation.  We received a couple of Bowling Invitations and some swimming and dancing party.  Even the classes  are done, we still had one party to attend to this coming week, whew!  I am not good in organizing party that is why I am thankful that my daughter's birthday is on summer break.  My son's birthday  however comes on school period so I don't know.

Muscle Mass Decrease

I read an article  about  symptoms of low testosterone about a week or so  at one of the sites I stumbled upon and learned that the decrease of  muscle mass and an increase in  fat around the waist of the man.  Another symptom  is when you are having a sexual dysfunction.  Decrease of testosterone does not only affect men but also affect the energy level of women.  So watch out for those symptoms folks.

Summer Camping

One more day and tour daughter's school classes is over.  We watched them play with their mini Olympics this morning and tomorrow we will be  attending mass with them at the church.  My daughter is looking forward for some summer activities.  I  hope that my brother-in-law Dave will be well soon, he  wants to go camping with us in Lake  Eire.  We already have a sleeping bag  that we bought when we were still overseas but we still need  other camping equipment.

Carnival

As I have mentioned on my other blog, we took our kids at the carnival yesterday but we were too late because they were packing out already lol.

I just don't understand their timing because they set it up when the rain was pouring continuously then when it finally  warm up, they left, whew!

I took the photos while we were  driving as we left the area.  With so many photos  in my archive, I am planning to order some photo books soon.  I have order some printed ones on my  other photos so I will be arranging it  I am just waiting for my daughter's vacation because she love to do that kind of stuff with me.

When I was still working as an office secretary, the school has provided us two working students who can help us with cleaning and other errands in the office. The Grinny

This little chipmunk is a regular visitor to my FIL's front porch. My FIL always buys a bag of nuts and give this little critter his food.

Dad calls him Grinny because he is always grinning, he says.  Who wouldn't grin if someone gives you food everyday hehehe.  

This grinny is Dad's  special pet.  He said that sometimes, when he is sitting in front of the porch, the Grinny will come out and just stare at him  ust like saying "Hi, aren't you going to give me food?" Lol!

Yard Arbors

I am getting impatient with the weather.  It is raining here almost everyday so the gardening plan that we have is always on hold because of the rain.  We bought  some railroad ties yesterday, laid it in the yard and when I started digging the ground it rained wahhhh.  Anyhow, my husband is planning to  do some landscaping when our budget permits because right now, it is all just  plants that I planted and it doesn't really give justice to our yard hehehe.

Robin's Eggs

The Robin that is occupying our back porch only has two or three eggs every year but the one that is occupying our front porch, she always has more.

When my husband  mowed the grass the other, he saw this  empty shell  laying around in the yard.  I am not sure if one hatched already or the mom tried to  bring one egg somewhere and it broke.  I don't know lol.
