Store Brand Infant Formula

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine.

Oh life has been busy these days at our house.  I babysat a friend's daughter today from 3 pm to 8:30 and I just had now the time to  sit in front of my PC.  I don't have any  problem taking care of the baby because she is a well-behaved one.  She seldom cry, she only makes a whimper when she is wet, sleepy , or hungry.  Anyhow, her  bottles  are already prepared when she  goes to our house.  I am not sure if they are using store brand formula because the  formula are already measured and put in a separate container before they drop off the baby.

Believe me if I have a baby and I need to feed  her or him with  formula, I would probably switch to generic formula because if you read the  content  of the name brand to the generic ones, they  are mostly the same.  Say for instance the Similac Advance and Parent's choice, both of these formula offers the  same  nutrition equivalents and the same benefits.  So if you do the math and logic, what's the point of  paying a high price for a name brand if you can  get the same benefits for a lesser price by buying a store brand like Parent's Choice.

When I had my first born,  we tried Similac  as supplement for  breast milk but it did not last very long as my daughter got an allergic reaction to soy milk.  Both of my kids were breastfed and I am thankful about it because not only that we saved a lot of money, they are also very healthy.   But of course I had a choice since I am a stay-at-home-mom and they are with me 24/7.  Working moms  have no choice but to feed their babies with formulas.  With the economy these days and the recall that Similac has,  switching a to a generic formula would be a wise decision.

Zygo Cactus

We went to Lowe's yesterday and bought the last 6 rolls of insulation we need to finish insulating the attic.  I saw this Zygo cactus or commonly known as Christmas cactus on sale.  It only cost $1.80 so I got one.  Have you ever have one of these kind?  This is my first time trying this cactus.

Incense

The word incense  reminds me of my childhood.  My grandparents have this kind of tradition after they  harvest their crop in the field.  They would cook different kinds of foods and  say a prayer to thank  God of the bounty that they received.  The part that  is very memorable to me is the burning of an incense because it's smell sooths me somehow.

Do you know that you can buy incense online?  You can also be a retailer if you want to.  I remember when we visited my BIL's house, they were burning incense in the living room.  I was going to ask  his wife where they bought but then I just though of searching it online.  I found a reputable website that sells   k2 incense.  I learned that there are also fraud  who sells fake  incense online so you have to  make sure that you are buying an authentic one.

So how do you know if you are buying an authentic one?  You can check out the link above and  see their guide.  K2 incense is legal  anywhere in the world but be sure that the  site you are buying it from is a verified one or else you might end up[ buying a fake one.

Now that I found this website, I  have learned that there are different scents that you can choose from when you buy this k2 incense.

Christmas Tree Ornaments

Aside from garland and balls, some of our Christmas tree ornaments are old and sentimental. The two sailor theme below are the simple gifts I gave to my husband two years ago when he was still in active duty.
Hubby got the one below when he was ten years old.
Below is the Family  snowmen that my sister-in-law Chris gave us a couple  years ago when we had our first Christmas tree.
I started buying  two ornaments for each of our  burritos every year and wrote the year at the back or front so they'll remember.
Below is the first one that EJ got on his first Christmas  with us.
Over time, the kids had collected  Christmas stuffed toys from friends and family.  Some of them are  musical and some aren't.
Since the kids helped me in decorating, they insisted to  put them on display too.
The Santa is a plastic one with light bulb inside, Dad gave this to EJ.  My husband said that  it was his santa since he was a kid.  The gift boxes were made by my sister in law, she gave it to me during my first Christmas here in the States with pretty  Christmas tree ornaments in it.
Below are some ornaments that my daughter made in school.  The head of the Rudolph is made of light bulb that they painted.
Thanks for checking out my   post folks and for leaving your comments.

Let's Play!

I am so glad that my stress finally subsided now that holiday is over. I can finally relax and check out the  USA online casinos, maybe I get lucky and win some hahaha.  Am just kidding folks, I don't even know how those games are  being played.  It's interesting to note though that  just by reading articles through this website, I kinda like have a little understanding about some of those.  Not that I am planning to  play in the casino but it is good if you have a little knowledge of things, don't you agree?  If you want to check out the game portal online, put your mouse over the link and enjoy!

New Brake Pads

We replaced the brake pads of our accord a couple of months ago and hubby is so glad about it. He said that it makes driving more smooth. We are lucky that my brother-in-law owns a repair shop because he knows places where you can buy good auto parts for less. He also help my husband put things in the car for free.  Thanks a lot Dave!

Small Icicles

I am so glad that this year's snow is not as bad as last year.  Last year was pretty harsh.  I remember the  long and thick icicles last year from the place where I took the photo above.  This year is just a little bit.  Just a quick update here folks.  Hope all of you had a good  Christmas celebration, we did!

Vertical Blinds

I took out the sheers at our window yesterday and washed it. The one that's in the dining room got splattered with Champ's stinky D.. so I had to take it down. I felt bad that our dog got sick and I was gagging while cleaning his mess arrrrgh.

I pulled back the vertical blinds that we pushed at the side of the window because you can see what's inside our house when you are looking from outside. If I'd be free tomorrow, I'll put back the sheer that I cleaned up because one of the vertical stuff from the blind fell off.

Champ got Sick

Champ was sick last night, he woke us up in the middle of the night crying.  I think he had an upset stomach because he had a diarrhea.  I let him out and he  booked like a bullet in the yard and I heard  the squirting sound (sorry).  I thought he did not do it in the crate but  he did wahhh.. So  we cleaned it and washed his blanket..  I just got done with my laundry and it is now 12:05 over here.

While I was doing laundry, my daughter and I were also  making lumpia.  We wrapped  it up already and put them in the freezer for tomorrow's family get together.  After this update, I will take my shower and  start wrapping up gifts wahhh.. I probably sleep at two am.. h boy, holiday is definitely a busy  one.  Thanks for dropping by folks.  I am now signing off.

Have a wonderful Christmas!

Programming in Mom's Perspective

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Charter. All opinions are 100% mine.

When it comes to television programming, our kids get their choice during the afternoon hours and we get to watch our favorites in the evening when they are sound asleep.  When we watch with the kids, they usually want to watch ICarly, Victorious, SpongeBob, and their favorite Teen Titans  We've become a little addicted to shows such as CSI, Criminal Minds, and Without a Trace.  This is our usual type of programming but we also watch movies.  We tend to select mysteries or dramas, but also love to watch comedies and action films.  Charter has a Facebook page that they want all of us moms to check out.

Charter Moms can provide the valuable feedback needed to ensure the best possible programming is available when you want it.  Being the first to know is one of the many benefits of being a part of the family.  Just click on the helpful link above and see for yourself how much you can get for so little.  Charter offers some really awesome promotional deals that will definitely make you take notice.  Take advantage of one of their current  competitively priced bundle packages and you'll receive a gift card for $100, $200, or up to $400 along with having one of the best communications packages around.

Stormy

I took this shot  one afternoon when we visited my FIL.  The sky was so dark and getting ready to pour some rain.

Alrighty folks, this is just a short update.  Thanks for dropping by, we are off to my husband's school today so we are out again, whew!

Searching for Gifts

It's only two days away till Christmas but I am still not done shopping for gifts. Hubby and I will go for our last minute shopping tomorrow. I was hoping that I could find some today at the big mall in Robinson but it is hard to shop when the kids are with us.

Now I am using torrents search, maybe I could find something that I could buy that "site to Store" offers so I could just pick it up tomorrow.  Holiday is suppose to be a relaxing time but it is the other way for me wahhh.

Gateway Gifts

I took a picture of these blue  glasses at  a gift shop that we stopped by when we went to  Maryland.  On the way home, we stopped at Gateway and  eat, we roamed around the building and saw some of the neat gift sets there.  Happy Blue Monday, we're off to church at nine so I'll visit later on tonight.   Thanks for your comments.

Books

Hello everyone, how's the holiday treating you? We went to my husband's school today because he has to buy a book that he needs for his classes next semester. The book is solely distributed by the school so he has to buy it there. It's not really good to buy a book in school as they axed you with the price. Hubby has been buying some of his books online because they are way cheaper than the one in school. But once in a while they get this required book that only the school is selling.

Oh well, my husband has been trying to find that book online for a couple of days online but the ISBN isn't available anywhere. It's funny that when you are searching for something online, you would find different stuff like legitscript.net and other stuff. It's good in a way because you get to learn something aside from the one that you are looking for.

Not sure what the name of this pretty flower that I took photos of at Lowe's months ago.  This is  very easy to grow though.  My  father-in-law gave me some of this and now they are plenty.  It's so pretty when they bloom, mine has pink bloom though.  does anyone know what the name of this flower is?  Thank you!

Plans for Next Year

In two more weeks, the year 2010 will bid good bye to us. That means new beginnings for each of us. New plans and aspirations, new goals to reach, and more.

My husband and I are planning to make a list of what we need to accomplish for next year. Those plans does not  include going to the Dysport Maui as I don't need it hehehe.  How about you folks, any specific plan for the coming year?

Mama is Sick

I just got done talking to my mother on the phone. I made an overseas call because my sister said that mama is sick and I was glad that the signal of cellphone there a while ago and I was able to talk to Mama for almost two hours.

I am always worried when mama or somebody in my family is sick back home because they don't have a health insurance that could take care  of the medical bills when they get hospitalized.  I hope and pray that my Mom would get well   soon so that she could enjoy the holiday without any sickness.  She always have this bad headache and the funny thing is that the doctor told her that it's just normal.  I said "WHAT, having  a bad headache is normal?"  What kind of doctor would say that to a patient?

Sunset in Chinhae

These were the last shots of sunset I took when we were still in Chinhae Korea.
My son really wants to come back there.  He always say "I want to go back home to our blue house."
He basically grew up there so  he is very fond of the place.  I also wish to go back there someday when the kids are old enough.

Coin Collector

My husband collects coins, most of his collection are really old. My father-in-law gave him some coins a couple of months in addition to what he has. He even have some of the Philippine old coins with him as a remembrance of his services there.  I saw an add about the uncirculated silver eagle and mentioned it to my husband and  he said that  he will take a look into it.  Collecting coins is fun,  my daughter's book of  quarters has just completed so we  put it aside where the kids can't find them.

Ice and Water

Cups of water that hubby and I had when we flew down to Mary land in picking up our car.  Continental served water as beverage during the flight.
How do you view the content?  Do you always see it as half full or half empty?

Thanks for dropping by folks.  We will be at my FIl's home today and I will babysit Sophie again for a couple of hours while we're there.

Legal Advise

A friend of mine back home sent me the piece of paper from the Housing and Land Regulatory Board. We hired a lawyer when we had our vacation there to help us out with the refund we are requesting from a developer where we are buying property. They did not pursue the project so we want our money refunded, the developer however are just blowing off our request that is why we sought the legal advise of the lawyer.

Process of claims over in my country take so long. I like the legal system here in the States because you will get result in no time. Say for instance if you need a criminal law services, the Federal Criminal Law Georgetown can help you with your legal battle.  I am wondering when will be  the legal system in my country will speed up?

Snowy Rubies

I took these photos during the first shower of snow over here.  The weather channel said that we will have 2-6 inches today but I doubt it because  it stop  snowing already and I am  glad about it.
I hope that we won't get  snow storm this year.  last year was scary to me.
I wonder what happen to our birds.  I hope they found a good shelter for them.

Home Away Traveling

One of the favorite site/blog that I love to visit is the blog  from a blogger friend from Cyprus.  He features bloggers from around the world and showcase their beautiful places such as Greece, Turkey, Slovakia, and many others.  I love visiting his blog because it is like I am traveling the world without leaving my home.

Not only that he features places, he also give suggestions to which cyprus villas and other accommodation are good  based on his travel experiences. To be able to see  these places through photos is an amazing  feeling how much more if you could really travel and see these beautiful places for real.

I guess most of us are  dreaming of traveling the world, am I right?  That is one of my biggest dream, to be able to travel the world and  see  God's  beautiful creation. Who knows I might get lucky and do that in the near future hahaha.  hat would be a lifetime experience!

Anyhow, if you are planning to  have a vacation in Turkey this holiday, check out the villas in Turkey at Home Away website.  They have a long list of  accommodations and other stuff on their site so if you need some help in planning your getaway, just check them out.

I have only seen turkey through photos in blog and in TV.  I used to watch this local show being hosted by a local TV network when I was still in my country and one of the places  they featured is  Turkey.  One of the actresses in my country got married to a Turkish national  and she  showed  the place where  they love to go and some of the traditions that she learned in living there.  Too bad their marriage  did not last very long.

It's snowing here right now and the wind is blowing so hard, so my mind is thinking something else like staying in one of these luxurious villa with panoramic view.

I took a couple of shots of this Amazon Parrot at Pet Supplies store in Steubenville Ohio.  I love it's color especially the beak and the tail.

Emergency Fund

Being away from your family is very hard  especially if one of them get sick or have an emergency.  I don't work  here in the States yet and sometimes if they ask me for help,  I always hesitate to ask my husband  for help especially if  I know that our funds is just enough  for our needs.  However, I am the only one they can count on when it comes to financial matter so my husband always makes sure to help even if it means that we have to obtain same day payday loans.   I am glad though that every time they ask, we have a little bit save up to send them.

The  online payday loans are a great option if you ever need an  emergency fund because you can do the application   at the very comfort of your home.  This means that you don't have to  deal with driving going to the bank or financial institution as  they can just transfer the amount you applied for once  it is approved.

Some  lender  would grant quick payday loans at a very least requirement.  You can even qualify for a loan even if  you have a bad credit through the bad credit loans.  But of course you can get better rate or deals on loans if you have a good credit  status.

Tree's Anatomy

Do you see what I see?  Two horns, two ears, a head, two arms and a body.  do you see it?

My daughter and I saw this pine tree at the neighborhood where we went for a walk.

Creepy but pretty isn't it?

Sourdough Bread

Have you ever heard or tasted a sourdough bread?  I am not sure if this is the one that my sister-in-law always makes during Christmas  where she cuts a piece in the middle and put some kind of dip in it.  Based from the story I read, the complete process of creating  this bread which uses natural fermentation only and no commercial yeast.  If you are interested for the recipe, just  visit the link.
