Flashback

I took these images months ago at Lowe's. Pardon me again as I don't know the name of this flowers.  They look so beautiful.  This reminds me of the first few weeks that  the Vice President of the Finance Office took over  in the office where  I was assigned  when I was a working student.  He brought a bunch of these plants in the school and distributed them in every offices.

My favorite photo is the last shot because of that small three leaf tiny plant emerging in it.

African Printed Dogs

These are images of the African Printed Dogs that I took when we visited  Pittsburgh Zoo.  I have seen a color like this in the Philippines but they are just ordinary dogs not like these African ones.  They look freaky but at the same time intriguing!  They call the place Painted Dog Bush Camp.  You may click the photo for a larger view.

Prescription Glasses

I call my eyeglasses an occasional accessory because I only use it whenever we are going somewhere such as attending church on Sundays, going to the mall or places where I need to see from afar. I can't use it whenever I am home because it gives me a bad headache.  I have to get me a new pair real soon because this one is not  working good anymore.

It's amazing to know that you can order prescription glasses online nowadays.   Ain't Internet technology  one of the the great  things that we have?   We can basically do  most of the things online. Childhood Glimpse

When I was in elementary, I used to walk from our house  to our school in the nearby barangay everyday of the week.  There is a river that's dividing our barangay to the other barangay where the school is.  There is no bridge so we have to  cross the river through a small banca when it's high tide.  But when  the water is low, we  look for the shallow part  and just pray that no one  drown.  

You might say that it is crazy for the parents to let kids do that but it is a form of training for us, for our survival.  That's how we learn things in the remote area in the Philippines.  I never appreciated the beauty that we have in our place till lately.  When I was growing up, all I could think is  get out from that place because  everywhere I look, its a picture of poverty .  Looking back now, I am glad that I grew up there, it made me who I am now.  

Donsol is one of the most visited place  by foreigners in Bicol ever since the  awareness of Butanding or whaleshark was  exposed.

Door knobs and Locks

Before we finally moved in to this home, my husband and I together with the help of some family members, have renovated the place. We replaced the carpet, repainted the walls, and changed all the door locks. My husband wanted to make sure that the old door locks were replaced so that we are the only ones with keys. He chose Schlage over other name brands because he used this brand already when he renovated a house that he previously owned.

Autumn Leaves

Here's another fall colors for you folks.  whenever we are driving around, I can't help myself but to take pictures of the beautiful leaves of the trees.  Thanks for dropping by and for leaving your trail.

Music Boxes

When I was growing up I was always fascinated with music boxes.  The first time I saw one was during my high school days.  One of my   high school friends had one and she showed it to me when we visited her  place.  I never owned one but I would like to have one, maybe someday hehehe.  I found some  unique designs of music boxes at Amazing Music Box Co website.

Teeny Weeny Fish

Do you see that teeny weeny fish that's emerging from the sand (please click the photo to enlarge it)?  I am not sure what the name of this  small fish but he is so cute when we were looking at the aquarium in Pittsburgh Zoo.  I remember hubby told me  what the name of it  but for the love of me, I can't remember it.  Sign of aging eh?

Birth Announcement

Nothing can beat the feeling of knowing that you are pregnant. My husband and I were married for over a year before I finally conceived with our first baby, I couldn't sleep that night when I found out the most exhilarating moment that a mother could feel. The first thing that I did in the morning was to call my husband who was in Guam back then, I delivered him the great news and he was very very happy just like me.  I like it that I gave birth to our daughter here because I was given a chance to do things like sending out thank you cards and birth announcements with the help of my in-laws here.  Being a mother is a the greatest job that you could ever have on earth.

Hungry Birds

After the big bag of food for the birds got emptied, I did not buy no more as I thoughts birds will migrate somewhere else as the cold temperature approaches. They come and visit us everyday still and I fee bad. We throw the end pieces of the bread in our back yard and they can eat it in no time.  Below are some shots I took about the hungry birds in our yard.  Enjoy the video~!

Laptop

It appears that the repair made by the computer tech the other month did not work pretty good. I am getting this adyieldmanager virus again, a bummer. Good thing I have now my laptop as backup just in case this one crash again.  One of my sisters is asking  our old  desktop computer which is fine with me but the problem is the shipping cost, it is so darn expensive lol.

I was looking at the selection of the Vaio F Series laptop and they look pretty neat. It offers cool features that my old laptop does not have.  So if you are in the market for a new laptop, check it out.  I know that some of you are starting to browse around for Christmas gifts that you can give to your love one.  If laptop is something that's in your mind, I am sure the recipient will be very happy  to have one of those Vaio F Series.

A couple of shots I took when we went inside PPG Aquarium in Pittsburgh a couple of months ago.   When I was a kid, this is  what we usually avoid stepping on in the ocean because it hurts like heck when you step on it.

Office Furniture Deals

I really like  our home office furniture that my husband  had since he was still single but it is showing it's age already. Last week, one of the screws on the keyboard drawer fell off without me noticing it.  I was wondering why it would slide good anymore and when my husband looked, that's when he realized that the screw fell off.  He fixed it  but it gave him reason to browse online for some discount office furniture that we can get if our budget will permit.  Right now, I still haven't made up my mind if we need to buy one or not because this one that I am using is still good to go. Maybe next year or so.

Pinky Trees

When we  visited my family for the first time in the Philippines, I noticed that most of the houses in the neighborhood  has so many   small flowering cactus in their garden.  I told myself that I would look for some over here.  I found them alright but they're a little pricey for me so I did not get one lol..  Anyhow, this article that I received through newsletter from Gardening club will give you some info about Pinky Trees.

Earring

My husband got me a new pair of hoops earrings during our wedding anniversary. He also purchased a insurance for it which I was thankful because I used it one and it got bent a little bit wahhh. Anyhow, I plan to return it some of these days and see if they can replace it with a new one.

Champ is Styling

Rylie got bored the other day so she took  her  Chuck e Cheese shirt and put it on Champ.  It's funny because Champ didn't care at all.  He just keep on playing with his ball after  Rye got done dressing him up.  Sorry Champ but you look cute  with it lol.

Family Holiday

I talked to my mother last week for over a hour. I am sure to how much would it cost for my overseas call but it's worth it, I miss her so much. I feel bad that whenever I call her, she always cry she misses us too.

I told her that Rylie just started school this year so we won't be able to go for a family holiday vacation yet. She asked me when will be the next time we could visit there, my reply was "I do not know."  Going to my country needs a lot of cash, the airfare is so  expensive and when we are there, we need a good chunk of money too.  My family is poor so  all the expenses  are always  paid for by us.  How I wish I could find a  treasure  hahaha.

TV Online

When we came back here in the States, I tracked down all my favorite shows that I missed when we were there in the land of the morning calm, Korea. My source of watching them is online TV.  I was able to watch all the episodes that I missed, thans to this online resources!

Recently I discovered a related show that I like watching and I got hooked in watching it's first season. I watched all the episodes through TV Online. Ahh it is so nice to be able to watch the shows you like for free and with limited commercial too. How awesome is that?  So if you want to catch up with the shows that you want to watch but you missed, just look it up online and watch it through TV online.

Early Birds

Took this shot last Wednesday when I walked  my daughter to her classroom.  These three are always the early birds in their room.  I was glad to see Rylie's progress report today,  she got SATISFACTORY rating in all the fields/subjects.  I'll post a separate one about it.

On taking Diet Pills

You might find it a little weird that I am skinny but I am hooked in reading reviews about diet pills. The reason being is that I have a friend from back home who is asking me to research on what she can take to lose the extra pounds she have gained from pregnancy. It's bothering her that it's been almost 3 years since she gave birth but she never get the pre-pregnancy shape back. I sent her some links of the websites that I found including the website where she can buy apidexin. I told her to consult a doctor to make sure that she won't have any complications if she takes one.

I breastfed my two kids until they were over two years old. I think, it help them build a good immunization against illnesses because they seldom get sick. Pardon me for the title but I just don't know what to call this flower because I don't know its name.  I believe I took these shots at Lowe's months ago.  I find it very pretty and wished to plant some in my yard but the price was a little over my budget so I did not buy.
