Riding a Bike going to School?

Today was a good day, the weather was warm and my migraine did not bother to visit me. While I was cooking lunch, my husband and kids went outside and play. My husband let them rode their bikes in front of our house. Hubby said that Rylie plans to ride a bicycle in going to school this year? I laughed when hubby told me that hahaha.

The school where Rylie is attending is just around the corner so it would be very easy for us to just walk her there. But she said that she is going to ride a bike in going to school, hmmn not a bad plan though.
Well, if that is the case, a Winther Tricycle would be a good one to get because it is high quality so it would serve her good and the little boy could use it too. And guess what, as I was looking through the website where you can buy this tricycle, my husband said "I like that!"

200 Kids Sing-a-long Favorite

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Madacy Entertainment. All opinions are 100% mine.

Before eating our lunch today, my kids and I had so much singing and dancing in the living room. They love to infuse all the songs that they learn from their favorite show into one. I like it because at their young age, they are developing their potential in creating their own kind of music. They have this one disc that my daughter got from her Bible study over in Korea and they play it once in a while and the love to sing with it and dance with the beat too.

But anyhow, I found this Ultimate Countdown Kids Collection: 200 Sing-A-Long Favorites download for only $3.99. Yes, you read the price right. The Ultimate Countdown Kids Collection digital album normally costs $11.99, so if you avail it on Easter Sunday (April 4, 2010) through download, you can get it for the above mentioned price through the the Amazon's "MP3 Daily Deal."

So if your kids love to sing or listen to music, this is the best offer that you can get for a very affordable price. I'll show this to my husband and ask his opinion about it, this would be a perfect sing-a-long for the kids. Please don't forget to check it out guys, just visit the link I have provided above

How can you be a very Good Saver?

My husband was pretty shocked when he checked one of our checking account online to see if the deposit he made at the bank today came in already. He did not know that I have been putting my blogging earning there and he was pretty amazed how much we have in there hahaha. He thought that it was pretty much empty. He asked me "How can you be a pretty good saver hon?"

Well hon, I just want us to have a cushion in case of rainy days, that is why I have been saving the money I earn from blogging.

Family Game Room

Do you have a family game room at your house? I love it during summer time where the whole family has time to visit one of my brother-in-law's house because they have a swimming pool and other recreation stuff like pool table, horse shoe, and volleyball court. They live in the country part of the area and owns a decent big yard so he pretty much set up a lot of things there.

The last time my husband and I shoot pool in their house was when Rylie's 2nd birthday party. Each of us has each own favorite pool sticks. I had so much fun shooting pool with my father-in-law, my brother-in-law, and my husband. My husband want a pool table down at the basement but it's a little costly so I said maybe someday when the kids are already to shoot pool with us that way, all of us will have fun.

Dress Up Game

The kids were so quiet this morning at their room so I went to their room to check what they were doing and found out that they were dressing up their stuff toys. Rylie said that it's her Lamb Chop's birthday so she dress her up. She also dressed up her brother's Baba Bear.
Usually when they're quite they're into something, am glad it wasn't messy hehehe.

Internet in your neck of the woods

I think there are very few people who doesn't use internet these days, do you agree? Me for one, will be forever grateful that I have discover and learn how o use the Internet because not only that it makes everyday transaction easier, it also makes communication better. Let me give you some of the things that I usually do online;
  1. My main avenue in getting contact with my friends and other relatives back home (international calls are expensive you know);
  2. It gives me the chance to work at home through online opportunities;
  3. I watch my favorite shows online especially those that I missed on TV;
  4. I search for recipes, parenting advice, read news, and listen music.
Having a high speed internet connection is very important for me because I do most of our billing transactions online. I checked work assignments everyday and if I have a slow connection, it would mean a lost income. I just wish that internet broadband satellite is offered at my mother's place because there are times that signal there for cellphone is very hard to find so whenever I call, they have to really go to a place where the signal is strong. It could have been better if they have an internet connection because we could talk anytime we want to and my homesickness could have been less. How I wish!

Winter Sale

I took this shot when my husband and I went to Steubenville Ohio. This was when the snow was just starting to melt, the water was pouring down the hillside. Right now the weather is still cold over here and its driving the kids crazy as they love to play outside.

But anyhow, the reason hubby and I drove there that time is to check out the indoor lighting on sale, hubby said that it's the perfect time to buy those kind of products while they are on sale. Now I am looking forward to checking out other winter sale, I may find some affordable solar lights for my garden. The former set that i had at my yard ware ruined already, I guess it was blown out by a strong wind.

It is also a good time to buy those winter clothes that will go out on sale. You sure doesn't need it this summer but it will definitely come in handy on the next winter season.

The cost of Maintaining Cars

My husband did not drive the truck for almost two years due to his deployment in South Korea. He left it here at home and my FIL had to turn the ignition once in a while in order to work its engine. I am glad that there's nothing wrong to it when my husband drove it again.

Maintaining two cars is getting costly these days. You have to constantly look for a car parts supplier that is a little bit cheaper than the rest. I wonder if the Car Parts UK is cheaper than car parts over here in the States. What do you think people over there in UK?

I was telling my husband that if the time arrive that there's a need for us to get a family van, a trade for one of the vehicles would be a good idea. Now that the kids are growing up, the Accord is getting smaller for the four of us.

Side Effect

Okay I have decided to stop taking this migraine medicine that my physician prescribed me because it is making me so grumpy. I get mad very easy and I don't like it. I'd rather have this migraine rather than be grumpy every time and snaps at my kids in every little thing.

To Many Projects, Too Little Funds

We have too many projects planned for this summer but too little funds hahaha. We will make sure though that we find some discount rugs for the basement before the summer ends so that during winter, the kids won't be cold when they play at the hard wood floor. Found this beautiful design online that comes with free padding and free shipping.

If only I could guess what is going to come out in the lottery, I would make the right guess so I could play the right numbers and win lol. That way, we could do all our home improvement projects this year and be done with it. Sigh, sorry folks, I am in a wishing mood right now lol.

Couch Potato Dog

If you think that only humans love watching TV, you are wrong because our Jack Russel Terrier pup is a couch potato too. Champ like watching TV on top of this couch. Pretty ambitious isn't it? Can you please get down there little fella?

Rylie said that she will be using those pair in school, EJ said he would too hahahaaha.. KIDS!

Dreaming for A Vacation on a Rainy Weekend

I am dreaming of a vacation right now!

For the last couple of days, it's been raining over here and believe it or not, there was even snow during the second week of spring. Oh boy, the kids were so bored yesterday because all of us decided to just stay at home since there is a flu going around the are and it is best for us to stay home so they won't catch any sickness.

The rainy weekend made me dream of a warm getaway somewhere in a Costa Rica resort maybe or somewhere where its warm and where you could enjoy the beach and sunny weather. It is really hard to entertain the kids whenever its gloomy because you kinda just stuck inside the four walls of the house doing the same thing over and over again. Hopefully, this summer would be a fun time for all of us with family and friends.

I haven't been to Costa Rica and I think that it would be great if some of these days hubby and I could have a romantic getaway there. Ahem. dreaming again!

Table Napkin Holder

I found this tale napkin holder at my FIL's basement, I find it very cute so I put it in his kitchen window. It is broken on the other side already maybe that's why my FIL put it away. But it makes pretty decor in the kitchen right?
Happy Blue Monday everyone!

I'm Yours by Alyssa Bernal

I found this to one of the blogs I visited and liked the voice of Alyssa Bernal, a Mexican American singer. I am not really familiar with her but according to her profile at youtube, she recorded a debut album already in London, England. Listen to the song and tell me what you think? 24EUGYB6869J

For Better Vision

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Incendia Health. All opinions are 100% mine.

Do you remember the iLASIK Video Contest that I have posted a while back? Well, it has ended and the winner grabbed the whopping prize of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00). Isn't that a fabulous prize? If you entered the contest and did not win, you still have the chance to go for a better vision by by availing their iLasik procedure.

I watched the winning entry of the iLASIK Video Contest and it is pretty impressive how the procedure could really improve your day to day activity compared to suing your eyeglasses or your contact lens. Personally, if I would be given a chance to have this kind of eye procedure I would do it because I am getting tired of using my eye glasses too.

Here are the entrants who bagged the awesome prizes for the "You Gotta See This" video contest.

The grand prize of $5,000 was taken by Alex

For category 1 which is the "My contact is getting in the way of my good time."
  1. 1st Prize - "You Gotta Be Kidding Me! A True Story" by Robbo, he won an HDTV package which is a $2,500 value.
  2. 2nd Prize - "Contact Stink" by Windsail, a Flip UltraHD camcorder which is a $199.99 value
For category 2 which is the "My Favorite Sport or Activity would be so much cooler with better vision"
  1. 1st Prize - "iLasik would make surfing more enjoyable" by jhbmw007 with a prize of HDTV package
  2. 2nd Prize - "Foggy Riding" by Snowman, the prize is Flip UltraHD camcorder.
For Category 3 which is the "You should see life after the iLasik Procedure"
  1. 1st Prize -"Orbs of Perfection" by Danny V, the prize is HDTV package
  2. 2nd Prize - "Army Lasik" by ahowalton, the prize is Flip UltraHD camcorder.

It's nice to know that after the contest, the company let the public know the result because it gives the good impression that they are legit and the intentions are pure.

Silk Plant .. Wandering Jew Plant

My sister-in-law Chris has a big basket of the wandering jew plant and she gave me three vines to grow to. a couple of days after, this silk plant gave me a bloom. We have this kind of plant over in the Philippines and we call it a different name but I couldn't recall what it was.
I love the pattern of her leaves and they make beautiful hanging plants.
I entwined her into the lucky bamboo.

Plan to Retire

After my doctor's appointment, we visited my father-in-law for a while before proceeding to my dentist. While we were having some cup of Joe and chit chatting, he mentioned about his son's Dave's plan of retiring. Dave owns an auto body shop but since he is not getting any younger and his shoulder injury is bothering him, he wants to give it a rest.

He is looking for someone who could manage the 24 hour towing and other services that his outo body shop offers because he doesn't want to totally close it. His towing services is a pretty good business because it gives him a good number of clientèle plus he owns the vehicle. I guess when you reach that age and you don't have a child to raise to, you kinda want to relax and enjoy life.

Glorious Sunrise

I woke up early last Tuesday morning and begun cooking breakfast. I open up the blinds in our kitchen window and saw the beautiful sight of sunrise. I told my husband about it and he took a couple of shots. Taken from inside the kitchen by my husband.
I went out in our back porch and took another two shots.
Isn't sunrise signifies hope? looking at the sunrise always makes me dream of something beautiful and worthwhile.

Insurance Quotes

One way of getting a good deal on any kind of insurance is to compare insurance quotes from different insurance provider over the internet. The broader the search you make, the greater chance you cam get a great deal. That is what we did when we got our car insurance for our two vehicle about four years ago. Even though we are happy with coverage we have with our present provider, we still browse online once in a while to see if there are better options than the current one that we have. You never know if there are better offers right?

Max & Ruby

Both of our burritos love watching the show Max & Ruby. Rylie even drew their faces and cut it out. Max & Ruby is a show of two bunny siblings where the eldest (Ruby) try to et the rules on everything that she and her brother Max will do. Rylie would do that to EJ too by telling him "Do this, don't do that " and that kind of stuff which always ends up in disagreement lol.
So here you go guys, Rylie's version of Max & Ruby.

Got lucky with Online Dating

This March marked the 7th year when my husband and I met for the first time in person. we have dated for 6 months online before he finally decided to see and meet me. He came on my graduate school graduation and that was the most memorable graduation I've had because he was my escort when I took my diploma.

I am so glad that I took the advise of my student assistant before at the office where I used to work. She was the one who told me about online dating when I was so busy writing my thesis. I laughed at her when she told me about it at first. I joke to her to make me a profile thinking that she wouldn't do it but to my surprise she really did and even uploaded a photo of me. What a luck because the day when my free trial was expiring, my husband found my profile.. and the rest is history lol!

Anyhow, online dating is a good way to meet friends or even special someone. You just have to be careful in dealing with people online because a lot of them don't have good intentions. There are some that are genuine but most of them are opportunist.

$8,000 tax credit

First time home buyers are very lucky because the tax credits that the government offers was extended until this year. You can get a $8,000 tax credit if you are buying a home for the first time or $6,500 if if the house you are selling is your your primary residence for 5 consecutive years.

The termination of this credit is on April 30, 2010 as long as the binding contract has a written agreement to close the purchase on June 30, 2010. You have to remember though that you have to attach the documentation of the purchase on your tax return. Too bad we did not qualify for this, an eight grand is a large chunk to spend in upgrading the house or paying off some debts.

How about you, Do you qualify for this? So be sure to check this informative video to find out all the details of this great tax break at Coldwell Banker. You still have a one more month to avail for this great offer and be sure not to miss it. You may watch the video below to give you an insight of what I am talking about. Or you may visit the website directly to learn the full details about it.

Thanks Mel

Melcole awarded me this awards and I would like to share these to you guys. Just Please grab these when you have time peeps... Dhemz, Shy, Nuts, Cacai, Seiko, Clang, Rossel, Chris, Tita Beng, Anney, and to YOU who is reading this right now.

Caught in Action

This is how they act when you caught them doing something they are not suppose to.

Mommy: What are you doing guys?
Rylie: Mommy we are just looking!
Mom: What is EJ up to?
Rylie: Oh he is just curious about the camera.
Mom: EJ what are you doing?
EJ: Take a pichure of me, take a pichure of me Mommy.
Mom: Okay, EJ look! Oh, you missed it..
They want to click click click too all the time, just like Mommy!

For my Blue Monday here's EJ showing something. NO, he isn't making a finger but showing you the guitar kitchen that I found in my memory box. Hubby and I bought this when we had our honeymoon in Cebu Philippines 7 years ago.
This little man has to get into everything these days. Happy Blue Monday everyone!

Blacklight Arts

We visited my sister-in-law the other night and she gave the kids some presents (toys, clothes, and art stuff). Rylie is so happy with her stencils and blacklight arts. When we came home, she colored it right away even if I told her that we will just do it the next day, she did not wait at all lol. See, she is still wearing her jacket. Tank you so much Chris!
We found this artificial flower when we went to the park the other day.
I know that the photos above aren't real flowers but I am sharing it anyway to:

Barcode Scanners

We went to the store yesterday to buy some groceries. We also wanted to check out the new super walmart near our place. I guess they updated all their stuff because they are now using Symbol LS2208 bar code scanner there compared to the ones they were using before in the small one. The more advanced equipment that business uses these days, the faster the transactions are being done, do you agree?

Do you love watching basketball? Would you like to share your thoughts about it here?

Long Distance Moving

As I have mentioned in my other blog, I am so glad that we will not move for a while now that my husband is officially retired from the navy. The long distance moving is no fun but with the help of the moving companies, it gets a little easier especially if you find a really good one. It is just so tiring and stressful moving from one country to another you know. You have to adjust with the custom of living and you have to learn the culture of the country that you will be transferred to. But now I am relieved!

Communicating Trees

We went to the playground up by my FIL's house yesterday ad I took a lot of photos of my kids playing and running around. Of course, I did not forget to take some for my Friday meme adventures. I found these tree branches really pretty. Seems that the trees are talking to each others as neighbors. What do you think?
Wait..wait.. listen.. Can't wait till the warm weather is in full bloom so we could start growing like normal trees again.. LOL.
We also spotted a couple of hawks flying around the area..
Have a good day everyone!
