Oh life has been busy these days at our house. I babysat a friend's daughter today from 3 pm to 8:30 and I just had now the time to sit in front of my PC. I don't have any problem taking care of the baby because she is a well-behaved one. She seldom cry, she only makes a whimper when she is wet, sleepy , or hungry. Anyhow, her bottles are already prepared when she goes to our house. I am not sure if they are using store brand formula because the formula are already measured and put in a separate container before they drop off the baby.
Believe me if I have a baby and I need to feed her or him with formula, I would probably switch to generic formula because if you read the content of the name brand to the generic ones, they are mostly the same. Say for instance the Similac Advance and Parent's choice, both of these formula offers the same nutrition equivalents and the same benefits. So if you do the math and logic, what's the point of paying a high price for a name brand if you can get the same benefits for a lesser price by buying a store brand like Parent's Choice.
When I had my first born, we tried Similac as supplement for breast milk but it did not last very long as my daughter got an allergic reaction to soy milk. Both of my kids were breastfed and I am thankful about it because not only that we saved a lot of money, they are also very healthy. But of course I had a choice since I am a stay-at-home-mom and they are with me 24/7. Working moms have no choice but to feed their babies with formulas. With the economy these days and the recall that Similac has, switching a to a generic formula would be a wise decision.

i can say i am so lucky because i breastfed all three of my children. By the way, Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteFormula milk is very important to developing babies. Kim is so fortunate that she was able to breastfeed her three children when they were still babies. Happy New Year to you all. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
