Bumble Bee

I took these shots last weekend when our friend Raquel invited us to pick some plums in their backyard. I don't know what is the name of this flower here but back in the Philippines, my mother used to call this Senia. My friend has a lot of this in their patio. When I first saw it growing, I told her that they are going to be tall, her hubby said that he didn't know it when he spread out the seeds in the planter lol.

  4. The flowers look so gorgeous and very colorful. Bees are the most effective pollinators of flowers. Bees do not only give us honey and propolis, they also help in the propagation of flowers through their cross pollination. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.

  5. Those are lovely flowers, and great shots, bot with and without the bee. I thought they might be dahlias, but they grow from a small tuber and are shorter, I think.

  6. Lovely shots of the bumble bee. My kids are so scared of bees and get crazy every time they see a buzzing bee around them. I think those are Zinnias. I used to have those flowers.

  11. They look like colorful zinnia! Fun flowers, except sometimes they fade in a drought and look too sad.

  15. Your Zinnia's are absolutely beautiful, and their colors rich and vibrant. I have always loved the center of these flowers, like flowers within flowers. No wonder it attracts its pretty little visitor.
