6 weird things about me

I got this tag from Malou and would like to share the fun to Beth, Rechie, Dhemz, Grace, Richard, and Amy.

RULES: People who get tagged need to write a blog post of 6 weird things about them as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "you are tagged" in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

1. It might gross you out but i love digging my navel or belly button and smell it. Mama used to tell me to stop doing that but I told her that I love the smell of my "pusod" hahaha..

2. Most of women regularly polish their nails... I don't, I seldom do that... just for occasions. I am not very interested in having my nails painted all the time, as long as they're clean, its good enough for me.

3. I was obsessed with high grades when I was in school. It upset me when I get lower than what I expected. I am not sure if this is weird but for me it is, my friends were fine when they get low grades but not me especially if I bust my brain working/studying for that grade.

4. I always gag whenever I chew on a garlic. The weird thing is, I like cooking with it, I just don't like having it in my mouth. I envy those who can eat garlic like the most delicious food on earth lol..

5. I love reading pocket books since high school until now, I have a stock of 'em here actually. My husband find it weird that I have a patience reading those where I could just watch TV and enjoy the scene. For me, reading pocket book is a challenge because it makes my imagination works for the occurences in the story.

6. When I was in elementary, all of the kids I hang around with were boys. This is a bit embarrassing but I remember playing with them ust wearing shorts, no shirt hehehe... They said that I am a tomboy before but it's not true of course, I just found boy's stuff more interesting than girls. It got changed of course when I got a crush hahaha..

Spiced Chicken with Tangerine Sauce

I got this recipe from cookingclub.com and I have yet to try it. You can bring a little light into your life with this cheery, citrusy chicken dish. The savory pan sauce sparkles with the bright flavor of tangerine, while a sprinkling of chopped cilantro adds a fresh finish. Instant sunshine in the dining table that you family would sure like. What I like about cooking chicken is that its meat is very tender, so you can't go wrong when you cook it.

The tangerines, which soak up the savory juices, are a wonderful complement to the cumin-crusted chicken.

2 tablespoons ground cumin
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup plus 1 tablespoon lower-sodium chicken
broth, divided
1/2 cup tangerine juice
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons chopped jalapeƱo chile
2 teaspoons cornstarch
2 tangerines, peeled, broken into segments
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup chopped cilantro

1. Sprinkle cumin over chicken, coating both sides well. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Cook chicken 4 minutes or until browned, turning once. Remove chicken.

2. Increase heat to high. Add 1 cup of the broth to skillet; boil 1 minute to reduce slightly. Whisk in tangerine juice, mustard and chile.

3. Return chicken to skillet; cover and gently simmer 5 to 8 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink in center, turning once. Remove chicken; cover loosely with foil.

4. Whisk remaining 1 tablespoon broth and cornstarch in small bowl until smooth; whisk into sauce in skillet. Bring to a boil; cook until thickened. Add tangerine segments; cook briefly to warm. Stir in salt and pepper. Serve sauce over chicken; sprinkle with cilantro.

Get paid to blog

Okay here are some of the website that you might be interested in. Getting paid for the things that you are already doing is great. it gives us extra cushion in our pockets especially on this hard times with the economy. Just click the banners that I put in this post if you want to check them out and sign up.

Payperpost is the biggest company that pays bloggers to write reviews. This time however, they are doing this campaign where they lower the prices for the opportunities. I have been doing reviews from them for almost five months now and I can attest that they do help a lot of bloggers to monetize their blog.

Blogvertise are good for bloggers whose blogs have PageRanking already. I am a member with them since November, I think.

I like Sponsored Reviews because the moment you have submitted the link, it is up for payment already unlike PPP where you have to wait for the approval of your post. The only concern I have is that you have to bid for the opportunities and the pay out is only 65% now 50%. But it's better than nothing right?

Blog Advertising

Buyblogreviews is kinda like sponsored reviews where you have to bid for the opportunities, the only difference is that, opportunities from sponsored reviews has higher prices than the latter.

Loudlaunch.com is a very good one too. Again, the main requirements from them is PR blogs.

Reviewme.com is the same, you have to have a PR blog to get approve.

I like Payu2blog.com, they give you task every week... You don't have to waste your time waiting for the opps to show up, they send it to you in your inbox and its a free form blogging. You can write just about anything for the opps, posts are auto approved too. I just started from them last week.

SocialSpark.com is good too, their opps is a little bit hard compared to others, too much requirements and its always 200 words. But they pay fair amount.

Okay guys, goodluck!

Opportunity error

I was so frustrated yesterday because I finally got to reserved a higher opportunity but when I got done posting it and tried to submit it, I received an error saying "the opportunity has been filled." Oh NO! Payperpost should limit the number they need to release so that posties won't waste their time doing the post for nothing. But anyhow, I submitted a support ticket and the reply was below. This will be another "charge to experience" case hehehe.
Thanks so much for your patience with this. I did some digging around and found that this particular Opp. offered several hundred posts and when it dropped, it was so swamped with reservations that the system did not have time to fully update between them.

The end result is that the Opp allowed a few more reservations to be created than were available. However, by the time you were ready to post, all the available spots had already been filled by other bloggers which is why you received the error.

This does not happen often and we truly apologize for any frustration or inconvenience this may have caused.
Oh well, what can we do. I thought I got lucky yesterday to get a higer opps after taking 3 dollar opps for a week lol... JOKE lang pala hayzzzzz...

Another Year

Another fresh new year is here, another year that God gave us to enjoy, to explore and learn new things and lessons . . .Another year to live, to share and to forgive to those people who have done us wrong us! To banish worry, doubt, and fear,to love and laugh and give! New year gives us time to reminisce and look back of last year's events.

I would like to show my deep gratitude to a dear friend, she's like a sister to me. I am so happy to have meet you in the blogosphere Dhemz, hopefully we'll be able to meet in person someday. Thank you for making my blogs look fabulous and for your fabulous friendship.
