The Swing here and there

How is your Monday everyone? I would like to start the week with a heart full of gratitude for those who casted their votes for my daughter. She won the Smile contest for the month of October. so thank you so much!

We found this swing from my mother's neighbor's house when we visited the Philippines last March so Rylie tried the improvised swing. She said "Wow Daddy, this is a lot different." I am glad that my kids are not very particular when it comes to things that can make them happy, they are willing to try things even those that are new to them.
I always instill in their young minds that we may not have all the fancy things in the world but as long as we have each other, we are okay! I also emphasize the importance of getting what we NEED not what we WANT.
She missed this play area so when we came back here, she immediately asked us if they could play there.
Have a lovely day everyone and thanks for dropping by and commenting!

  2. natatawa ako tsang iniimagine ko si rylie when she found the neigbors swing, buti hindi nagtataka, kasi dito sa merica hindi tayo basta basta makakagamit ng swing ng kapitbahay. Yan ang tinatawag ONLY IN THE PHILIPPINES hehehehe. You have such great kids tsang bakla hindi maarti, nakikibagay talagas sa paligid, nice upbringing tsang. papuntahin mo si Rylie at EJ dito may swing si jake sa backyard hehehehe.

  5. You are right, Rose.
Instilling in our kids' minds that getting what we need is more important than getting what we want. It's teaching them practicality and right money management at an early age. :) I'm so glad someone shares my sentiment. :)

  12. it reminds me of my home in Pi. My papa made a swing similar to that one for all his grandchildren. when we took our holiday the kids were having fun in it. it is something special and unique for them.

i tell the same to my kids and they are always happy of what they got even how simple it is.

  13. Hi Rose,
You have brought up your kids very well that is why they can appreciate even the simple things in life. That is an excellent lesson that you have imparted to them, that they should strive for the things they need and not the things they want. God will bless you more for that. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.
